Slowly gotten the impression over the years that there was a lot more bad blood between Feige and the Perlmutter-backed 'creative committee' (Loeb/Quesada/Bendis) than was originally let on. There probably were plans for AOS and the netflix tv shows to crossover with the movies more, but Feige just couldn't stand working with the idiots and it all fell apart. Sucks to be the tv-side actors involved of course because they got caught up in the powerplay.

These new shows however are all pure Marvel Studios and there'll be no input from the Loeb/Quesada/Perlmutter crew in them at all - hence no problemo with crossing over. Just better hope they rehire Charlie Cox/Bernthal/Ritter for the inevitable Defenders appearances and get the AOS characters in somewhere too.
