They're alluding to his death so much I'm convinced he will actually make it out alive.
They're alluding to his death so much I'm convinced he will actually make it out alive
Cap or Tony has to bite it. No way do they both get happy endings
>They're alluding to his death so much I'm convinced he will actually make it out alive.
People said that about Vision, how it was too obvious, and he still died.
Evans isn't coming back. He already said he's done on Twitter. They're going to kill him off and get as much out of it as they can.
I can almost guarantee you that Cap, Iron Man, and Thor do not make it out alive. They even alluded to it at the end of the last trailer when it showed the backs of those 3 when confronting Thanos
Oh they better make it sad. I wanna cry buckets
Do you really think Vision's dead for real, though?
Between the leaks about how long people were on set for Endgame, and news about a Disney+ series, no, but none of that was public knowledge at the time Infinity War was released.
He can leave without necessarily dying.
He's going to have the glove on, fighting Thanos and he will do his classic line of "I can do this all day" where he is then stuck in a timeloop forever fighting Thanos while the rest of the world is reversed and everything goes back to normal.
I was still expecting him to start talking like Ultron.
I don't care if he dies, as long as he gets to say this line
This is not vento aureo
I am thinking he isn't going to die either. Maybe vanished. Maybe starting a new life in another timeline or something but dying? I have the feeling that isn't happening. Then again, maybe it is wishful thinking. I want a good end for Cap.
They should do something like Spiderman TAS and have Cap sealed away, for when America needs him again
A foreign dub voice actor confirmed that one major character dies.
You'd have to rework that line quite a bit to make it make any sense given that Thanos already won.
He survives but pass the mantle and retires, tony is the one that bites the dust
Dude. He’s leaving until they pull up in front of his house with a dump truck full of money.
Also, I’m pretty sure Disney marketing actually worked it out with him that he would say he wants to leave so the fans wouldn’t cry foul when Disney started pushing all the new heroes.
Most likely he’s going to leave throughout phase 4, though he’ll be remembered and whispered about etc. etc. and perhaps at the very end of phase 4– maybe just a flashback with Wolverine in World War II, you’ll suddenly get Captain America stepping out of the shadows.
This combined with Cap's "I can do this all day" line. Imagine it, Steve getting the shit kicked out of him, struggling, and yet standing up every time.
Not really. It's clear that Thanos will at some point take whatever the remaining Avengers are doing as a threat, with the possibility of reversing his victory. As long as someone is out there conspiring to undo the snap, Thanos can never truly claim victory. There will always be a challenger in the shadows.
>lso, I’m pretty sure Disney marketing actually worked it out with him that he would say he wants to leave so the fans wouldn’t cry foul when Disney started pushing all the new heroes.
That's some high risk tinfoil hatting.
He's been counting down the days since the first Avengers movie. I remember an interview right after the movie came out where he's counting the years he's under contract and looked so dejected when he realized he had 7 more left.
It wasn't till Winter Soldier and his love of the Russos that he really got less neurotic.
See, my bet is Cap dies, the shield is passed to either Sam or Bucky. Tony retires, Thor goes off to be king of Asgard (leaving the possibility for another movie for both of them), while Banner and Natasha retire from actual fighting and stay on to assist the new group of Avengers.
Clint retires like he's been trying to for the past four movies.
My theory is after all the time fuckery to get the gems, in the end they take Cap back in time to finally get his date and fairy tale ending with Peggy Carter
Why? The same thing happens in the comics
Because they aren't original?
I want to kiss him on his perfectly plump lips
The Russos already said that's not happening. For better or for worse, Peggy found love, got married and built a family. Steve wouldn't take that away from her.
Maybe he can go back just for one dance before returning to the future to die
>Final battle.
>The Infinity Gauntlet is destroyed, and the Infinity Stones scattered.
>Cap grabs the Time Stone.
>Time slows to a crawl.
>Cap walks through the frozen status of his friends in battle.
>It slowly morphs into veterans dancing in a glitzy ballroom.
>World War II has just ended and the world is celebrating.
>Peggy alone in the ballroom, in her signature red dress.
>Older Steve comes up behind them. His ragged suit replaced by a tuxedo.
>"May I?"
>Peggy is taken aback.
>"Steve, you're..."
>"Late. I've always been late. But not tonight."
>She takes it.
>They dance slowly.
>"Is this a dream?"
>"No."
>"But it's not real either."
>"It's real to me."
>"I don't understand what's happening."
>"Me neither. All I know is... I couldn't leave my best girl. Not when she owed me a dance."
>They embrace. Tears begin welling on her face.
>"Can you stay?"
>"I'm sorry, Peggy. I have a date."
>Lets her go and vanishes in a dust of green smoke.
>Returns to the present and takes Tony's place as the heroic sacrifice.
>"Why?"
>"Because you're my friend."
>because you're my friend.
Lmao, tony and cap were never really friends in the MCU, they shared some jokes along the way but almost all of their screen time had them antagonizing eachother to foreshadow "le ebic civil war"
the white man must die to pave the way for the all female+minority avengers team.
They could just make him no longer able to be Cap. Make him an old man or some shit and have him retire, pass the role of Cap over to Bucky or Sam.
This, but about Tony, not Cap. Tony will not starve to death like the commercials make some think. They may kill them both in the end though. But definitely at least one of them dies.
Tony is definitely dying, they just re-released a bunch of Iron man toys and the Tony figure just in time for the movie
you know, if they are show cap so much, chances are it's going to be Tony who dies. They would lead you on to think its cap, while they surprise you its Tony who dies.
Will we finally get the War Machine solo movie that delves into military conspiracies ala Tom Clancy?
I dont know, but if warmachine has a daughter you bet she will be iron heart.
Because Thanos' motivation here isn't to impress some bitch.
Wouldn’t anyone do the same?
He'll be too old by the end of phase 4, he is gone for good
>Dude. He’s leaving until they pull up in front of his house with a dump truck full of money.
He already got that dump of money with the whole Disney+ directing opportunities. He's done as Cap because he doesn't want to maintain that body figure anymore. Same shit why Hugh Jackman quit.
I don't see why they don't do universe fucking and just recast the characters as younger versions.
I mean its pretty clear rebranded heroes don't last long, so why not skip the fuss of Falcon becoming Captain America, and just recast CA from some other more comic book genuine universe.
Its pretty clear they want the gravy train to keep rolling, and if you hype it up enough plenty of people will gobble anything up if its Marvel.
Hell, Captain Marvel made a fucking billion by just making it important to Endgame.
>Tony will not starve to death like the commercials make some think
You do realize a special look was released in which Tony is on Earth embracing Pepper, and on the second trailer you can see him along the team with the white quantum suit, right?
>Tony will not starve to death like the commercials make some think
Surprise, that part is there, but at the end of the movie, not at the beginning.
In the original Infinity Gauntlet story, most of the Avengers die and are resurrected at the end of the story, along with those who were wiped out in the snap.
Even if he dies, he can still make it out alive. Same for all of them.
You better just hope they're not going to follow up with giving one of the stones to each member of the Infinity Watch, because that shit was entertaining but absolute garbage.
>Surprise, that part is there, but at the end of the movie
Nope, the Russo's said every single clip in the trailers and special looks come from the first hour of the movie.
>crying over a boring fictional character dying decades past his expiration date
Boohoo
And that's probably so, but it's just trusting their words. They may even have lied, just because they can.
Tony has things to live for. Cap is going to die so he can meet his girl.
the MCU stones seem too overwhelmingly dangerous for individual Avengers who aren't Vision to possess.
The Power stone would likely eradicate an individual Avenger, the Space Stone already worked out badly for the Skull...even the order of Mystics under the Ancient One seemed afraid to mess with the Time Stone.
If you assume they're lying about this and everything, then they're certainly gonna have Wolverine, Galactus uds secretly the villain and they'll set up AvX in the post-credits. There's a point where them "lying" wouldn't make much sense since they're interested in not spoiling the movie.
>Stark dies, everyone else lives at the end of Act 3
>At one point in the first Act Thanos does actually manage to kill everyone including Captain Marvel and Thor's army
>Hulk comes out to save his friends, him and Ronin survive Thanos' attack and Hulk and Ronin kill Thanos by cutting off Thanos' head
>then it gets weird at
>Hulk gets the Gauntlet snaps and ends the universe
>alternate universe Thanos teams up with Strange to fix Hill's mistake with help from Beyonder played by Stan Lee, Living Tribunal and Eternals
>they go to see Gamora who is like her Lady Death form from the comics and Red Skull who blame Thanos and say someone else is using the stones to collapse the multiverse.
>the Stark in blue from the trailer is a fake Stark who turns out to be Eternity masquerading
>Eternity went back to the events of first Avengers with Ant-Man to deliver the news of the snap so past Hank Pym and past Stark could work on their gauntlet.
>eventually everyone fights over new gauntlet including Captain Marvel and other current Avengers from an alternate universe
>Odin, Thor, Loki, Hela and Hank Pym with the Iron Legion all show up to kill Thanos and get gauntlet
>both versions of Thanos die
>Odin restores everything that Hulk and Thanos messed up
>Stark became Eternity after Eternals met him in the ship when he decided not to leave with Nebula
>he becomes immortal and decides to go about time erasing all heroes to prevent Thanos with his own gauntlet
>everyone fights future evil Stark who is known as Kang the Conqueror
>Stark sacrifices his life to save everyone after Cap and Strange say the only way to kill Kang is to kill past Stark
I´m betting he is going to die but the afterlife is gong to be like V-J day in Times Square.
Ah, the old bond burger. What a classic!
Steve Trevor may die...but Captain America will return. The set up is literally already there
'fun' fact; The sailor forced the woman to kiss him and she's hated how famous the picture has gotten
GODDAMN YOU I LIKED THAT PICTURE WHY WOULD YOU RUIN IT
I’m just curious to see how the MCU will fair when the actors for the veteran characters like captain America, iron man and Thor etc do eventually retire from the MCU
It’s not like they can just give the characters new actors because I don’t think audiences would accept that
Will likely highly depend whether they can make the more recently introduced characters like spider man or captain marvel as popular as their predecessors
We don't need the line but we need the stride.
The two biggest disappointments for me will be if Endgame doesn't have this or an "Avengers Assemble" shouted by Steve.
now that's what I call subverting expectations.
but that's literally the point of the line.
