Eh it's a 5 issue mini.
Eh, I'll probably read it. Waid's run on F4 was pretty good and he's one of the few writers that didn't define Sue entirely around her relaitonship with Reed, so he's got a good enough grasp on the character.
also waid on books that no one asked for (ant man and the wasp and to some extent strange) has been more welcome and better than waid fixing stuff (cap after samnee for one)
What, couldn't find a female writer?
>MILF Adventures by Mark "One of Marvel's five competent writers" Waid
Eh. I'll check it out.
Will the readers turn invisible as well by issue 3?
>Mark "Once was one of Marvel's five competent writers" Waid
ftfy
He's fine so long as he's not trying to be woke. Not great, just fine.
maybe after this inevitably fails everyone will shut up about how she could totally carry her own movie
Eh. He can still put out a good book

Your reign of terror is over now. Tenno Heika Banzai!
>Waid on FF is a bad thing
Mh, that doesn't checks out.
You're the cancer killing Big Two female led comics
Is she going to cuck Reed with Namor in this? It's her only good storyline.
The de facto safety net these days.
That cover is basically a convention sketch. And it looks fine, it just makes me wonder why Adam Hughes doesn’t do the full digital paintings anymore.
Arguably anything, even his worst work at DC, is better than him trying to be woke.
Do we really need to bring out the Gwenpool episode of "Champions"? Or how about the first issue, which threw everybody right into uncovering a sex trafficking ring?
Look, I don't need my female superheroes to have abs visible through their costumes unless their superpower is literally to be buff (I'm thinking Shulkie here). And I sure as hell don't need the Grand Matron and mother-of-two of the Marvel Universe to have abs.
There is just no reason for a 30-something mentalist force projector to be *that* fit. I'm not saying Sue should be a land whale but she ain't going to have the body of a 15 year old gymnast either.
He can't go muh white privilege on this because the blonde haired white woman is meant to be the protagonist and also celebrated as the first family. So hopefully his okey kokey wokey inclinations may be curbed on this occasion and therefore might actually be worth reading.
What sucks is that Kirby used to draw the costumes having folds like realistic clothing but nobody does that anymore.
Not the same user but it think he is not defending his Champions (who would?) but he is rather talking about how after he left the Teen drama he reverted back to being a good fucking writer, his Doctor Strange has been great so far.
It's obvious Sue was keen to get back her figure after the pregnancy. And more power to her for it, are you suggesting that strong, independent female characters have to conform to preconceived expectations just because they're mothers. You better not be or else I will revoke your woke bucks user.
I know Marvel is scrapping for standout heroines, but taking gals off teams isn't the answer.
This is fucked mentality
Seems like a good thread to ask this; What the fuck does Sue see in Reed Richards? The guy is a socially retarded, thoughtless rubber head
>Waid back on FF characters after being one of the best FF writers, maybe #4, I know one of you autists will jump at me
>Not playing the safe bet of using Ben or Johnny
>Actually putting Sue front and center after she was good in his run
>Only 5 issues so they're not pushing their luck
This is good. We need more FF momentum now that they're back, and not in Fraction's way with an aimless main team, and a focused side comic with Ant-Man.
They pretty much looked like regular jumpsuits in Kirby's run. It was a brilliantly simple and clean design but people want stuff that looks more like other superheroes. I don't mind it too much as long as it doesn't look tryhard, but as close to Kirby as possible is nice
>Sue use Bubblebeam
Been out of the loop with this character for years. Did she ever actually cuck Reed or is it still a sort of running gag?
Stretchy dick.
Honestly, well before the current le Yea Forums le Captain controversy, well before the MCU even, Carol stood out to me as Marvel's biggest 'solo book' heroine. She had her own little supporting cast/villains/etc. and wasn't part of a built-from-ground-up team like the X-Men or FF but the JL-style "solo heroes come together' Avengers.
I don't reckon she'll leave the team. It'll probably just be
>This stuff's happening and Sue has some kinda connection to it
Straightforward answer: has she ever flirted with the idea of being with other men? Yes, several times.
Has she ever actually had a full-blown affair in canon? No.
*won't leave forever. Solo mission stuff like Human Torch Strange Tales afaik
Nice.
Pretty sure she's one of the few or even the only Marvel heroine safe from any full blown infidelity plot line. I'm sure plenty of writers have wanted to do it but it never goes through the editors. I'm glad for it too. Sue and Richards have plenty of problems but there are more ways to introduce friction between a married couple than having one of them cheat.
So his obsession of bettering the world via scientific advancements and being socially retarded, unable to deal with his real feelings because the weight of the world is on his rubbery shoulders makes Sue love him?
Okay I somewhat get it, but at the same time he's putting most of that stress on himself. Furthermore, how much of his tech does he actually share other than waiving it around in front of Stark and Pym?
Millar and Morrison have both made some claims about Sue and Namor in interviews, but there's nothing canon. Reed and Sue remain the only couple Marvel have protected from writers with cuckold fetish.
Some of Reed's inventions did become part of the real world:
"Mr. Fantastic also developed many prototype gadgets that predate regular use in actual households (due to the foresight of Lee and more likely, the progressive Kirby). The whole world can now thank Reed Richards for coming up with the X-Ray Camera (FF #10), Transistorized (metal) Detector (#31), Micro-Wave Chamber (#32), Solar Energy Activator (#69) and most importantly, 'The World’s First Fully-Automated Dish-Washer Mechanism' (#44)!" (Robert Papetti, "Fantastic Four In The Silver Age Sixties: A Tribute")
This is how Reed funds the FF: with microwave ovens and dish washers. But there is no sign of faster than light travel or universal translators in the real world. Soon we will see why.
If he can invent anything, the stories make no sense.
In the real world, inventions take time. Even a simple invention can take decades to perfect. Reed simply does not have the time to invent so much stuff, no matter how brilliant he is.
If he can invent anything, the stories become dull.
Let's look at what the stories actually say. We will see that Reed gets all his most amazing inventions from three places:
The ship left by Gormuu before the team began (see FF271)
The Skrull ship captured in FF2
The planet X saucer given to the team, in FF7.
Reed is a genius: he has to be in order to make the alien stuff work. But he does not invent it: he adapts what he can scavenge. He often has just a single working example of each invention, and does not always know how they work. He also takes full advantage of every alien contact, to try to learn more.
Reed does not understand all his stuff:
In this early pin up, from the first FF annual, Reed admits that he doesn't know what this contraption is.
Waid referred to her as a MILF in his original FF pitch so it'll be interesting to see if this is pre- or post- 2016 Waid that'll be writing this...
schrodinger's Waid
more like a THOT
Namor pls
>He can't go muh white privilege on this because the blonde haired white woman is meant to be the protagonist
That is why they usually shoe horn in a "woman of color" to tell Becky to check her privilege.
Why wouldn't I want a Sue book?
they are force fields
Good!
>And I sure as hell don't need the Grand Matron and mother-of-two of the Marvel Universe to have abs.
I need.
>mentalist force projector
>they are force fields
what exactly do you think force fields are made of? hint: the word is right there in the name...
The Gwenpool issue was the best one because it was just her nonstop shittalking the "woke" comics where a mind controlling villain or sentient bacteria isn't the reason the general public is being bad.
She wasn't bad in her issue of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that he wrote.
Am I the only one here who read that book?
Either you're wrong or I was too distracted by Ramos' "art" to read what she was saying.
On the other hand, maybe we can add another one to Sam's harem alongside Kamala, Viv, and Kaldera.
I know Thing got tons of solo comics, but have Johnny or Reed? If not, would you want them?
>There is just no reason for a 30-something mentalist force projector to be *that* fit.
Gotta keep up with Mr. Fantastic somehow.
Wtf is with all the non comic reading ignoramuses. Waid is iffy but his FF was good and Sue is arguably Marvel's most competent female character. I'm down for this.
Mildly curious, Waid's FF was good but it was a long time ago
>Wtf is with all the non comic reading ignoramuses.
They're the ones who bandwagoned on the comic outrage instead of being legit outraged
>Eh
Don’t speak for everyone.
>Waid
So it's going to be completely unremarkable in every way. I guess the few dozen Sue fanatics will be happy though and love it no matter what.
Based Waid.
his issues of SHIELD were pretty based
isn´t that the guy who tweeted a picture of his asshole to some comic fan who happened to be conservative?
man liberals have become childish
Seriously. But no, let's give this to a mediocre white man that's been writing comics since the early 90s.
Better than a mediocre white woman whose only merit is that she shares a gender with the character
No, that was Robbie Rodriguez and I'm still waiting for an uncensored version of it; I'm gay, you know
at this point it doesn´t matter who writes it. it´s still going to be boring feminist and marie sue garbage because at this point men are to cucked and women too much up their own asses to write fun stories with good female characters.
Sue is gonna have one or two line about how much white men suck, story is going to have at least 1 feminist moment where a white men gets owned and the actual superhero part is going to be pointless and boring.
The comic is going to be forgotten 3 months after the first issue release anyway
>muh vagina
Go back to neog- uh, tumbl- uh, Twitter
you are right Mark Waid is just collecting money for him on twitter which is why I confused the both
>Better than a mediocre white woman
But it's really not, it's the same thing. Incel.
Wouldn't be the first time for Waid
>Give a female character her own book
>WAAAAH FEMINISM!!
Like clock work.
Oh noooo! I see breasts and a fit stomach! Why is she wearing spandex like some bimbo instead of a cute tacticool outfit like a powerful womenz?
this comment doesn't work on any level. never try to be funny again
