The closest they got to that was his mad scrawlings in his jail cell, which I was hoping was going to result in him figuring out the intangibility formula, even if he was using magic glyphs rather than math. He's a very different character, so for me him looking different is whatever.

Ah yes plastic man is another great golden age to read. The Spirit while not as good ( seen in that pic) was also decent reading and I have a few newsprint compilation books along with some of some chick called lady luck which are pretty decent also.

I know next to nothing about Sivana but do comic fans like his movie version? He seems nothing like what's being posted here and is basically just the same-powers-as-the-hero-but-evil villain that we see in every superhero adaptation, except this time worse than usual because isn't that what Black Adam is supposed to be? But I'm guessing his modern incarnation in the comics is completely different and more serious as well so maybe it's not a big deal. I doubt people would want asspained-because-bald Luthor in modern Superman movies.

From my experience/observations, innacuracies can be forgiven as long as the portrayal is entertaining.

John's Strongvana was a guy who was trying to bring his family back to life via Magic. Which could've been fun too. Especially since that version slowly degenerated into the more classic looking version, paralleling Billy's shift from an angry kid into a hero.

You know I always believe that Sivana would eventually wish to bring his family back but as a result (Monkeys Paw), he became a cartoonishly evil mad scientist he originally was in the comics.

Billy Batson is really fucking bad at keeping his identity secret, come to think of it. Half of his rogues gallery know who Captain Marvel is. Superman would be embarrased.

It depends on the writer. It flip-flops constantly. Sometimes he's Billy only older and wiser, sometimes he's a kid in the adult's body like in the movie, sometimes Billy and Captain Marvel are separate beings. Same thing with the logistics behind "Shazam" magic word and when it works.
