How would you anons describe Magic in DC?

It doesn’t have to be anything, does it? All I know (or think) is that DC seems to focus more on innate magic than marvel, where a large bulk of magic is borrowed power

It's about as magical as Dr. Strange using quantum physics.

It makes sense for Manhattan to believe that what he's seeing fits his prejudices instead of there being more to the universe than his boring ass late 80s nihilism, though.

I wish there was some kind of editorial directive to not make Flash the default jobber.

Because even if i didn't liked it, you can always say Dr. Manhattan is a being outside of the Multiverse so for some reason magic doesn't work on it.

Because they've all but put it in words that Manhattan created the DC universe as we know it, which is as much of a meta commentary on the medium itself (Watchmen all but remade the comics industry into what it is today) as it is the DC brand. Manhattan is essentially just a step down from the One Above All as far as DC cosmology is concerned, so all the heavy hitters not being able to do shit what is essentially God makes perfect sense

I liked that Reed Richards was unable to figure out magic at all. Science and magic are two different beasts after all

There is a reason, inside Watchmen itself, that explains why this would made no sense.
But they already butchered it with this event, so nothing would surprise me at this point.

Speedforce is fucking useless.

Just because the fundamental nature of something is profusely mundane doesn't discount the world shaking potential it has. Electricity is just tiny particles zipping along a given medium but a single bolt of lighting can still power an entire city for like a year

That just means that Dr. Manhattan can't explain magic, it's still an unknowable quantity to him.

King's actually had Wally get to work on that shortly after.
In fact I'm almost surprised HiC hasn't had Selina drop in to help Harley instead of Barbara, but I figure it's because King likes affecting other things with his Batman stuff but not vice versa.
