Who is your favorite reality scraps user?
Who is your favorite reality scraps user?
Zatanna
So when the Spectre wanted to destroy magic, he really was just cleaning reality up?
That really does fit in line with his character, so yeah
>pages that piss you off
Why did Zatanna blow up the fairy and the hobo's burger?
She was pissed after blue dong called her a reality abortion
She and Batman had a fight.
>the first time in who knows how long Jon feels legitimate joy from learning about something he had no idea was a thing until that very moment
>piss you off
user....
Meh, it’s a small thing to me. Who cares what magic is as long as it’s entertaining to read
Now talking about DC mystic I’ll admit I did get really pissed at all of Hell AND Lucifer jobbing
This is way too easy of an answer to what “Magic” is.
How would you anons describe Magic in DC?
Who got btfo harder, magic or speedforce
It doesn’t have to be anything, does it? All I know (or think) is that DC seems to focus more on innate magic than marvel, where a large bulk of magic is borrowed power
What's the problem with explaining DC magic like this? I don't think it's that bad of an explanation
He just dissed the entire magic community and basically said magic was some kind of shit leftovers no one but losers wanted
It's about as magical as Dr. Strange using quantum physics.
It makes sense for Manhattan to believe that what he's seeing fits his prejudices instead of there being more to the universe than his boring ass late 80s nihilism, though.
I wish there was some kind of editorial directive to not make Flash the default jobber.
There's something about seeing Manhattan in the DC Universe proper that turns my stomach.
>literal gods
>jobbing to Doc just because
why, just don't use those characters and no one would have cared.
Dunno about Selina being able to pull that off but it's not without precedent. Deathstroke managed to stab Wally because he's "quicker where it counts" and was able to anticipate where he'd be
>looks at Justice Leauge Dark
......sounds about right, actually
Speedforce.
Because even if i didn't liked it, you can always say Dr. Manhattan is a being outside of the Multiverse so for some reason magic doesn't work on it.
Catwoman is just a crook in fucking latex.
I mean yeah, spending hours trying to chase fairies and learning to do magic tricks is some faggy shit.
Manhattan is above all other powers in the DCU
“Magic is science” bullshit never made sense in both DC AND Marvel.
>that page
do the writers not know or simply do not care?
shouldn't be above the reality warpers to begin with.
Because they've all but put it in words that Manhattan created the DC universe as we know it, which is as much of a meta commentary on the medium itself (Watchmen all but remade the comics industry into what it is today) as it is the DC brand. Manhattan is essentially just a step down from the One Above All as far as DC cosmology is concerned, so all the heavy hitters not being able to do shit what is essentially God makes perfect sense
I liked that Reed Richards was unable to figure out magic at all. Science and magic are two different beasts after all
>Manhattan is above all other powers in the DCU
that's a bold claim
He actually didn't, he's actually describing magic as a force of nature.
>random errors...discarded and forgotten
>used by those discarded and forgotten
Sure sounds like a really positive and wondrous depiction of magic here!
There is a reason, inside Watchmen itself, that explains why this would made no sense.
But they already butchered it with this event, so nothing would surprise me at this point.
Enlighten us
Speedforce is fucking useless.
Just because the fundamental nature of something is profusely mundane doesn't discount the world shaking potential it has. Electricity is just tiny particles zipping along a given medium but a single bolt of lighting can still power an entire city for like a year
Do you call electricity an error that was literally thrown away and forgotten about? No?
>Mentioning that literal shit at all.
Christ.
I would have killed myself if I was any of the Flashes after this page
That just means that Dr. Manhattan can't explain magic, it's still an unknowable quantity to him.
King's actually had Wally get to work on that shortly after.
In fact I'm almost surprised HiC hasn't had Selina drop in to help Harley instead of Barbara, but I figure it's because King likes affecting other things with his Batman stuff but not vice versa.
>people have waited years for this
It has the power to raise the dead now
