Copypasta aside, it did have some Zack Snydery scenes. Like grace randolph said, it was a "dark family movie".

That harsh reality of Billy’s mom, hit hard
The movie wasn't nonsensical so I wouldn't say that's true. Snyder didn't invent serious scenes user. By that logic then Logan, The Dark Knight Trilogy, and Cap 2 was also Zack Snydery.
What are some good shazam stories, particularly ones with mr mind. Im really into the character after seeing the movie
>grace randolph
Who?
No Mr Mind but Shazam Power or Hope is fantastic. Also had fun with
Thunderworld Adventures
Convergence
First Thunder
Power of Hope sorry
The mom plot made no sense. He should’ve been an orphan like in the old comics where his magician uncle lost custody of him
E celebrity movie reviewer. Pro Disney
Wasn't she the one who started this whole "the hispanic kid is totally gay?"
Also, she kept shitting on Mary. The hag.
Superman/Shazam: First Thunder
>Dark=Snyder
You're an idiot.
>Wasn't she the one who started this whole "the hispanic kid is totally gay?"
Just began to follow her recently. I’ll probably unfollow her since most of her videos are clickbait shit
Or, like the heads of WB said: "shit, another flop!"
I don’t know anything about Grace Randolph, but that was obvious. He straight up says he’s not into chicks in the movie.
>ladderbro is still wrong
Do you know what a flop is?
Not every movie has to make a billion to be successful.
I want the Yea Forums reccomandations about him.
>sequel already in the works
>black adam movie confirmed
what a fucking disaster
She wasn't the one who started it, the guy who wrote the movie did.
>it did have some Zack Snydery scenes
Such as?
I’m an orphan whose biological mom remarried and had two kids and basically told me to never contract her again, this scene hit me right in the fucking feels when Billy said he has to get back to his real family.
Copypasta? Tell me
Well I'm fairly certain Sivana killing his father, brother, and the entire company board with The Seven Deadly Sins is sure to give a few kids nightmares.
The scene where Billy gave a frightened child the stuffed tiger really got me. Even with the courage of Achilles, Billy was just as frightened as that little girl, and still told her that everything is going to be okay.
The DCEU in general has a thing for the villain having the hero kneeling in front of him/her and Shazam followed the trend
The movie is loosely based on the recent Curse of Shazam story arc, which continues into the new serial. I really liked Curse of Shazam, the new ongoing is mostly just okay with some bright spots.
Final fight with the sins
There is something about the movie that while didn't make me hate it, I found a bit distracting.
Basically, Billy as played by Asher Angel felt to me like a different character as when Zachary Levi was onscreen. Levi was great in the movie but he played up the "silly teen" thing a bit too much, it actually seemed to me that he was trying to play a much younger character, and I felt disconnected whenever the actual teen Billy was around.
Well if I had the wisdom of Solomon, the courage of Achilles, and the simple knowledge that I could do practically anything now I'd act like a different person too.
That was just a CGI fight that didn't really have much destruction. If anything, it evolved into an anti-Snyder climax with massive destruction prevented by the heroes, no melodramatic speeches about motivation from either the villain nor the hero, and they even avoided killing the bad guy and he got defeated with wits rather than punches.
I agree. I can see that when he was in his kid body he felt he needed to act detached because he felt vulnerable, and once he was physically invulnerable he could let go and be more open but the movie could've used at least one scene of kid Billy acting a bit more goofy when nobody was around or he got really excited over something so we knew that was inside him. The rest of the family was handled better when they got their powers.
Well Sivana tried to do one but Billy couldn’t hear
Exactly, that's why I say it actually plays out as an anti-Snyder climax. There were also teases of destruction and a catastrophic ending but everything was avoided and there were no innocent victims and then Billy realizes that punching Sivana harder won't solve anything so he defeats him by being smart instead of snapping his neck.
