Ren and Stimpy was INSANELY influential to early Cartoon Network we got a lot of RandS-likes like Cow and Chicken. Some shows significantly improved like Rocko and Ed Edd n Eddy. The show with some lineage that you'd be the most familiar with is probably Spongebob Squarepants. I'm not a huge fan of Ren and Stimpy but I admire the technicals of it and am happy it existed to pave the way for better toons in the pre-flash era. Remember to always ask and keep learning about stuff before you were born and you'll never be the cancer. I had to do it with 80's shows and when you're older kids'll have to do it with Adventure Time and whatnot, and you'll be there to tell em what it was like.

I'm 20 now but I've been browsing Yea Forums since I was 11 and Yea Forums used to be my home board. I know of old cartoons, I just never bothered to watch them, for example I've never seen BTAS and I think I first saw an episode of Hey Arnold for the first time two years ago.
