Stark did allegedly make a stealth suit between the Avengers and IM3, but it never saw combat. Perhaps being as quiet as Falcon causes him to shed too many critical weapon systems.

How the fuck is it old? In both Webb and Raimi series, Spider-Man is essentially a professional, seasoned veteran by the end of the first movie. That's not what the visuals of the scene communicated. Cap was visibly suffering in his abilities due to the wounds he was taking, and was still powering through anyway. It seems like it was less about his powers and more about the determination and indefatigable spirit that made him a hero in the first place.
