Great work user

killer moth design from the last one
also did a Briana, but thats already over in the boob thread

Implying there's anything worth stealing.

figuring out a protagonist that's been on my mind

Attached: protag2.png (1200x2400, 1.99M)

It looks really unique.

So realistic. Was it drawn on a desk?

Cute! What's the story behind them.

creepy and cute

Looks like a character for a webcomic

Oh wow, I love the colors.

Cute design. What's his backstory?

Just a quick doodle spiced up a bit with Clip Studio's animation function.

Whoops, didn't post.

Why do these threads die so quickly bros? I remember they used to last for days

doodled this when I woke up at 5am and couldn't go back to sleep

Attached: chocobo.jpg (1147x1426, 841K)

i hope its mostly that anons are finding better places to go than doing free art here. even the drawthreads are pretty dead these days
the strangely hostile anti-artist anons certainly dont help things either

Did this as a way to fuck around with my new drawing tablet.

Attached: FB_IMG_1554571553346.jpg (720x303, 44K)

what is the context?

>drawn on a desk
It's painted on a square chunk of wood. After I do the faces I'm going to paint the background. I'm thinking warriors colors to match the shirt and necklace

Character doodle.

Attached: 01.png (1650x2318, 1.42M)

Nice. Fan of the coloring

is this a nice ass? I'm practicing

Attached: ass.jpg (525x600, 53K)

It's a start. The idea of a nice ass is there but it's a bit flat in terms of line work. I don't get the feeling of the form of an ass. A little line variation would probably work wonders.
For reference, Frank Cho is pretty great at doing simple line work that still conveys weight and form. Find artists you'd like to emulate, try and see how they do it.

Attached: tniX6bf.jpg (1278x1974, 337K)

Yes! this is a W.I.P of my webcomic.

Attached: Panel3.png (927x711, 535K)

I don't like Cho's women that much. I'm imitating this guy. I don't normally focus on sexy women, they're not my thing, but this guy draws 10/10 butts.

Attached: 3F0FBtZzRuK4qrR8rjIEiS.jpg (986x1298, 516K)

thanks dude

Attached: IMG_20190404_191005_998.jpg (1250x1250, 316K)

Alright, but still same mentality.
Same basic principle as Cho albeit more subtle.

Attached: Dku3jLkUYAAhWwz.jpg (1067x1199, 309K)

Ok ok. Not planning on spending a lot of time on this but I want to at least understand.
Apart from the linework, does everything look correct?

Shinya Komi. This man has a degree in butts I swear.

Attached: DbYin4yU0AAGlbG.jpg (1627x1249, 288K)

Anatomically it seems fine. Only real issues are how the back riding up just isn't really attractive to me but I'm not sure if there's any actual issues with that past my own taste.

Lol. Thank you for the compliment. I plan on posting it again when it's done but most likely be tomorrow.

I don't suppose anyone here knows anyone experienced with Ace Attorney-style backgrounds? As in the GBA/DS-era ones

Just finished this bad boi, a character design for a comic i'm working on

Attached: ironhead model7.png (1591x2778, 1.4M)

its pretty good. just try to curve things a bit more. line weight helps a bit too, but really nailing the curves to define the ample form and volume of the booty is key

badass old man
those tattoo/scars look like theyd be a pain to draw repeatedly. would help to prepare some references from various angles to ease that process a bit

looks good but the gray bit at his midsection looks a bit odd. it makes it look like his body goes inwards and outwards a bit too much, like a screw or something, especially since the rest of his body is still really full

Attached: booty booty.png (1000x600, 132K)

fuck off pixelhat

Attached: no ninja loitering.jpg (300x168, 7K)

Yeah there are certain curves I have to nail down, also the butt isn't perfectly round, it has subtle planes? The shape also changes considerably depending on the position of the hips / legs. I really like that little bump on the side of the leg given by the hip joint, I prefer it over a round full hip.
As far as line weight, everyone tells me something about line weight and I even got a few comments saying it straight up sucks, but I'm stubborn on ligne claire with very fine consistent lines. I just don't like thick and thin unless it's very slight accents.
2B is really, really fun to draw.

Thanks; I'd describe him as meek, but emotionally turbulent, struggles with conveying his feelings and being way too hard on himself. He lives in a world where Psychic Power is a growing phenomenon, not too different from our own with the exception of that fact, and despite his own powers he doesn't really take a liking to them as he blames them for driving his father away from his family and triggering a psychotic breakdown in his mother (some truth to it, but he's like, four when it happens).

Another central component to the story I have in mind is the mother, young, surly, and abusive after the father left. What's interesting for me as a hobbyist writer is trying to find a way to make her palatable as a human being whilst still making her abusive towards her son, and the latest angle I'm toying with is having her killed by her son and making her a ghost (who the son, as a psychic, can see). I love to explore family relationships, and making the token 'abusive parent to the supernatural protagonist' an actual character that is more than just 'i hate my kid look at how mean i am' has been pretty fun.

We got the go-ahead to reveal the cover of our book. It comes out October 1st. It feels like a dream. I've wanted something like this for years but it did't even seem possible. But I'm excited.

Attached: 1551688068122.jpg (400x600, 145K)

true true.
if you want the pelvis bump and that slight dip caused into the booty, your right side one was more accurate. just tried to mirror what you had on the left side.
but yea, butts are a really interesting area because of just how much it changes with movement and even person to person.
best of luck on your pursuit of the booty sciences

an as for line weight, you can certainly still illustrate ample curves and form without it. pic related has shows some real form on the boobs despite having thick lines and very little line weight variation
just be sure to really emphasize the curve. straight lines on rounded things like boobs and butts really kill any illusion of form on it

>the strangely hostile anti-artist anons certainly dont help things either
there you are. how's your day been?

>Looks like a character for a webcomic
thanks, i've been thinking of making a webcomic but im not sure how, plus there's a bunch of things i gotta figure out first...

anyway, the idea was that he's some weeb technician kid who lives in a scrapyard and made his own mech out of a trash can

Congratulations

I drawfag something on /tg/ sometimes

Wait are you actually publishing it? If it's in the EU I might grab a copy. Comixology?

I don't know if it'll be on comixology. It should be on Amazon though. I don't know if the publisher has sold any foreign rights for it yet. But that shouldn't be able to stop you from getting it from Amazon and other booksellers.

I made a note to check it out on October, but I follow you guys on Twitter already.

Yeah there's going to be more and more promo as the launch date gets closer. I'm super excited and I hope people like the book.
Thanks!

Nice

congrats dude!
what age do you guys think the intended audience would be, if you dont mind me asking?

people keep mentioning /tg/. is it really that good these days?

>Cute! What's the story behind them.
the gist of it is that I started a weekly comic strip last year. the premise was about what elves did at the North Pole when it wasn't christmas time.

after a while, I ultimately decided that it just wouldn't work out in the long run for what's meant to be a simple comic strip and plan to "reboot" it very soon

I'll make adjustments on the rework, much appreciated.

cool. i'll see if my boss would be willing to pick it up once it comes out. our teen comics section has been a bit sparse barring Big Two garbage

do you have anywhere you post these? and is there a story to them all?
your style is neat and it seems like theres some kind of story there but these threads are too sparse to really say

Do you work in a library?

Do you have a website?

That's funny, would really like to see more!

Going to paint this.

glad you guys like it! I mainly post on Twitter and DeviantArt

I'll probably try to start up a tapas or webtoons account soon too, but man I hate making vertical comics.

I hadn't drawn literally anything for six years but recently got a surge of inspiration. So now not only have I drawn again after so long, but I'm also attempting to animate for the first time in my life.

All I have left to do is color. Whaddya think so far? For comparison, this pic is from the last time I drew.

Bored at work. I suck at color on my phone.

lets at least make it through the weekend

Kinda working on my art I guess.

Attached: 9.png (870x870, 788K)

Inspired by Mob?

cmon now. just make it through today

If I make something cool, you can have it.

That's some cute stuff user. If you had a blog, I'd love to follow it.

You drew that on your phone? Amazing? I can't even draw on pen and paper. She reminds me of Lust from full metal alchemist.

Oooh intersting. Guy on the right reminds me of brock from pokemon.

Haha yeah I've gotten the Brock thing before. They pretty much have the same hair and general face shape. Not something I was REALLY thinking about when creating the character but there it is.

Who the hell calls pancakes “wheat cakes”?

I legitimately can't draw. I've been practicing for over seven months now in an attempt to provide my own art for a VN I'm working on, but I'm just awful and can barely sketch a face that isnt repulsive. Any good advice on keeping yourself motivated when you're progressing at very slow paces?

Attached: 1554263424696.png (497x480, 218K)

Show us something you've done.

So draw something other than faces for a while, progress isn’t a linear path

are you drawing from imagination or drawing from real life?
sometimes things might not click for people and one is easier than the other. try approaching things from different angles and see if anything does click for you.

I have never stuck with an oc, I’m only interested in telling short stories and making fanart. However, I would absolutely love to make a speculative zoology comic one day, a collection of narratives involving theoretical animals displayed alongside essay about this animal’s evolutionary history.

Also here’s a dude grabbing a knife underwater.

Attached: 36F62AF9-59BA-4EBB-A1B7-97F67A371E99.jpg (1535x2260, 714K)

Here’s some recent fanart. I fucked up the mandibles hard, but it’s not like most people care how various arthropod mandibles work.

Attached: B072258E-A17E-42EB-BA4C-B35CF8D4BF7F.jpg (1772x2048, 668K)

Here’s the reference I used for placement. I’d really like some critique on how I simplified the mouthparts. I find I’m very bad at drawing ‘cute’ animals.

Post something.

Felt like playing around with a lineless piece.

Congratulations. That's huge.

I like it.

I wanna know how to draw characters but i dont know where to begin

Fuck it, I quit.

Attached: pinned fairy.png (1517x1817, 575K)

i feel like thats from Steinbeck's The Pearl for some reason...

it looks good. don't stress too much about how perfectly everything should work compared to real-life counterparts. anyone looking at it can tell what you're going for. suspension of disbelief and your viewers filling in the blanks with their own knowledge is how us artists can get away with making things that make zero logical sense but are still easily understandable to audiences

hate saying things like this, but the swirls in her hair, the black headband and the haircolor just screams princess Aurora.
she looks cool and all but maybe change something with the hair

every bug persons' worst nightmare. like it so far, even if you did sorta give up through it. its a neat but horrible idea

butt-erfly

stop patting everyone's ass pixelhat, you're not helping

one of my biggest inspirations (which is kind of unfortunate given how wonky ONE's art is haha)

another little doodle I did recently to try and get more used to digital stuff

you a fan of hxh? you draw ears the same way as togashi and me

Thank you.

It's no problem. I basically made this character today, so I'm not married to the current design. Thanks.

Stop being a bitch.

never read/watched, I really got into eddsworld when I first started drawing as a teenager and I always kind of drew ears based on that and it sort of evolved from there

>i feel like thats from Steinbeck's The Pearl for some reason...
I’m surprised someone made that connection, but yeah, I did have that short story on my mind.

And I do understand what you’re saying about that mr mind piece, but I personally want to make some improvements to the way I stylize animals. Especially since it’s something I know I’m weak with. I feel like understanding the workings of actual animals will be a major boon when focusing on fantasy creatures and other nonextant things.

an idea i had in the boob thread to take Power Girl's outfit and reverse it, making the boob window and bare legs be the only things covered instead

personally, you already seem to be pretty good at what you want to achieve, but if you see room to improve, go for it.

as bad as ONE's art can be, the guy has a good eye for composition. if he ever gains the technical skill to execute what he sees in his head, he'd potentially be pretty damn amazing

cute and simple, though you gotta bite the bullet and draw that gun at more than just the side.

oh. looks like you've been having a pretty bad couple of days. maybe take a breather and go like ride a bike or something. take some time for yourself.
if you need to, you can talk to me on discord since you seem to know me there. you got me a bit worried.

if this were a bad guy in a comic, would you dig it?

Attached: 345235.jpg (664x960, 77K)

Yeah, hopefully his hands can leave the shroud tho.

I hope he doesn't have a shitty backstory, doesn't do a heel turn, and remains ambiguous as he appears.

Reminds me of Mr.Dark from Rayman.

>Mr.Dark from Rayman
yeah boy. i wonder what i could change to make it less of a rip off? (the floating hands really make it obvious)

No blog, but thanks for the compliment!

made this yesterday

Ugly niggers

Hello, first time posting in these threads. The drawing on the left was one of my first attempts at a serious drawing, the one on the right is some concept art of the two main characters for a future comic.

I know I haven't improved that much, especially seeing how at some points I stopped drawing altogether because I didn't feel comfortable with how the drawings were coming out, people telling me I wouldn't be able to draw correctly and overall other reasons. But I've been fairly consistent this past year (maybe not as consistent as some people say I should) but I wish to draw more often and improve for the next couple of months and years.

I know my art is mediocre, especially compared to what I've seen around, but I hope it helps someone who wants to start drawing, to be confident about themselves, and that the road can look painful and impossible at times, but it's still there and it can be walked through.

Anyways, I'm always trying to improve, so if you guys see any mistakes or wonky things on the drawing of the right, I'll be happy to listen to you.
