It's not like he was in a lot of Mar-Vell related stuff to begin with, or almost anything for that matter. Teddy has been more of an accessory to Wiccan's than an actual character for a long time, the only one who actually did anything with him recently was Ewing, and that was years ago.

Teddy really had no personality other than being Billy's boyfriend and they really haven't done with him that much other than have him be joined at the hip with Billy. Probably the blandest Vell kid since Phyla at least had the fuck up loser thing going on for her.
That said if you're talking about his MCU chances, he doesn't really need to be Mar-Vell's kid for his story to work. Make Anelle fall for any other Kree and have the Skrulls hide him on Earth. That's really all you need.
I would be fine if they retconned him being Mar-Vell's son, especially since Mar-Vell had trouble loving or being intimate with any other woman that wasn't Una until he met Elysius. It's why Gillen's YA saying that Billy probably used his magic to make himself the perfect boyfriend made some sense (and fuck it's all Teddy is, Billy's perfect boyfriend).

Genis and Phyla can still be Marv's kids since they were test tube babies but it's possible that they won't be half-eternal in the MCU. Unless they decide to make Elysius want to mix her DNA with Mar-vell and make test tube babies for whatever reason. But if anything with Feige being asked about Marv's kids and Mar-Vell's legacy being explored further in the Captain Marvel movies, I am guessing they might save Genis for a CM sequel and drop his Eternal heritage (which would make him pretty different to his comic character) and make him a young Kree soldier who is estranged from his mother.
