Green Lantern's got this!

Has anyone attempted to make a gallery of every time a writer conveniently forgot how Flash's power works?

>It’s another GL spills his spaghetti Justice League movie

So how did Batman defeat him?

Yes

Prep time

>Can operate at speeds faster than the eye
>meaning he can react at such speeds
>doesnt see orm moving his arm at super slow motion
>runs into it like an idot

Its so bad

Sure I can

nothing will ever beat him running into Slade's sword.

It happens a lot

>deathstroke's genius plan of having flash run into his sword actually works for some reason
>catwoman knocking out multiple speedforce users even though just them running into her fist should shatter her arm into a billion pieces

The problem is if the Flash’s abilities, and those of the Speed Force in general, were used to their complete potential, Flash and the other Speedsters would become incredibly busted.

Then pit him against a sufficiently strong opponent, not a merc with an eyepatch.

Deathstroke

user, if Slade doesn’t beat all of the JL members at least once, the sun won’t shine the next day.

Why do they all take turns punching him and why does Orm's lighting undo Billy's transformation? Does all magic lightning do it?

If you make the argument that Flash could see it coming because he's gotnsuper fast reaction speed, wouldn't it be more likely that he COULDN'T see it coming since the wind up would look imperceptably slow?

No, because Speedforce.

>Does all magic lightning do it?
I don't see why not, at least that has some kind of in universe logic behind it.

So why aren't Zatanna and GL using their powers there

The more powerful a character, the more they have to job on a team so the other members aren't useless. The inverse works for making non-powered characters more powerful aka Batgod on JLA.

Because if they did then Deathstroke would be a trivial threat in 1v1 combat.

At least Batman has super autism and infinite money and seemingly infinite off screen prep time to have infinite contingency plans. Stuff like a character just not using their powers or their powers not working the way they're supposed to to make them weaker is the reverse problem of SAS and way worse.

Catforce>>>>>>Speedforce

Is Catwoman actually part cat or does she just dress up like one?

People hate Batman when he's written as a keikaku master that puts literal gods in their place and intimidates everyone. The jobbing is just a passing annoyance in comparison.

It's only worse for Flash because all his enemies end up being speedsters or else he drops them in record speed. So his rogues gallery outside of the Rogues themselves are either evil speedsters or literal who's. Which is why Grodd kept getting speedforce powers.

>The average person uses ten percent of his brains potential capacity.
>Slade uses almost ninety.
woahh, Slade is really cool!

Im not saying it's good when Batman does that I'm just saying at least it has some thought put into it instead of "flash just moves really fast and reacts with normal human speed"

It differs. In the show Gotham, for example, she gets injured or some shit and Bruce has to get a weird drug from Ivy to save her life, and when it does, it gives her weird cat eyes and added ferocity.

Worst Orm.

the most powerful of all

Look, the simple fact is that Flash is *constantly* powered down from his maximum capabilities or the world would have all its problems instantly and permanently solved by him. Its not so much that he jobbed to Slade, its that to be a usable character at all he must be nerfed in all situations.

Except here, where the Flashes were mind-controlled and dulled by Ivy's poisons. Its still goofy, but its nowhere near as goofy as when a flash with his full normal mental capacity has trouble with bank robbers with sci-fi guns.

Looks cool though

If comic book writers want to regularly pit characters like Batman and Deathstroke against the likes of Superman and Flash, why don't they just permanently nerf the latter group in a big retcon event that happens every decade or so? Wouldn't that be easier than having to come up with an asinine excuse every time? Just bring Superman and everyone like him down to DCAU levels, make Flash only fast in bursts and nerf his reaction time so that shit like Deathstroke's sword plan could actually work, and stop making it so that every powered hero can disintegrate a mountain with a sneeze.

Why not just fucking blind him, Ollie?

>Just bring Superman and everyone like him down to DCAU levels
So, the people who enjoy powerful characters doing extraordinary things aren't allowed to enjoy stuff? Just because of Batman? Fuck this shit
