Call me a perv, but I actually like it how in French cartoons like this and Wakfu, female characters actually have well shaped breasts, rather than just the weird lumps or triangles that American cartoons give their female characters.

It's not perverted, it's natural. What I find bizarre is the need to de-sex and reduce characters down to the most-basic amorphous shapes. The audience should be allowed to see characters who look largely similar to themselves, if not for self-insertion, but also for self-reflection.
