>DINGDINGDUNDEDING

I just keep thinking of Krobo's mlp poops.

Those were the days.

it was a premium channel

Hasbro didn’t want to put in the effort in maintaining it. Seriously, 2013-2014 is when everything went down for the company. The hub shut downed, the started trying to push those shitty lego KO kre-o over actual toy lines, and articulation on their figures was drastically reduced and still hasn’t recovered from the cutbacks.

Being a kids' network with a similar name to a popular porn site was a bad start.

Shutting down Discovery Kids, which, despite having had no new content for nearly 5 years, was still 10 times better.

Easy answer is to say bronies
Actual answer is that was the only thing that went right. It came in when tv channels started declining in kids views, so no one was going to support a high-package channel of toy commercials compared to the big 3

Discovery incessant complaining they'd been cheated in the deal.

MLP and dan vs. were the only shows I remember from the hub so I think that's your simple answer. A network can't survive on just two decent shows, especially if it's a premium channel.

It did have Littlest Pet Shop.

Gak

Transformers Prime was pretty big too.

Dunno but I miss it. Had a kino lineup for a bit.

I miss horror anthology series for kiddos

It was pretty scary at times.

>Premium Channel
>What said

It was surprisingly. I mean, not like crazy scary but bretty good for the demographic. Some decent thrills in there. Way better than Goosebumps looking back and right there with AYAOTD's best.

Really miss Dan Vs.

I think Discovery wanted their channel back because it was getting profitable or something.

nonetheless
SECRET BUTT FUN!

It was a pay channel for cartoons. Parents are the ones with the money, and they see plenty of cartoon channels coming in for free.

Agreed.

I wish watching My Little Penis with my kid sister. Now she's getting married. Time flies.

Needed more Dan vs

Pffffff. No.

(B.O.R. = Binder Of Revelation, the massive story bible they made)

Barely any worthwhile content aside from Dan Vs, Transformers Prime, and the candy-colored horse hour.
Also doesn't help it was a premium channel. Because I totally want to pay extra for content like pic related.

G.I. Joe renegades, they basically COULD have has something on their hands but got lazy.

>MLP
>Year 1, skipped it, because it was a Discovery Kids rebrand, which I always saw as an unnecessary premium PBS
>Year 2, learn about Bronies, see what the fuss is about-not impressed, stayed for Haunting Hour and Pound Puppies
>Year 2.5, discovered Dan Vs; Pound Puppies season 2 upped their game; watched 2 episodes of LPS just because the theme song; but dat MLP dig though
>Year 3, literally only there for Haunting Hour, Dan Vs., and Pound Puppies
>Year 3.25, start using the DVR due to scheduling bull-shittery
>Year 3.5, start to feel that everything's dying except MLP - it keeps booking along; while everything I watch is trickled out
>Year 4, start to watch LPS; because everything has become a zombie franchise, and I didn't give a shit about 3D Transformers.
>Year 4.25 start to watch MLP; because everything has become a zombie franchise, and I didn't give a shit about 3D Transformers.
Don't quote me on this, but I hear MLP had something to do with it.

While you were all jacking off to horses, you ignored the real good stuff.
Why didn't you help them Yea Forums, you let them down.

But I was there every weekend for new Aquabats EAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGLE CLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW

A toy company shouldn’t be running a toy channel. Not only is it unethical, no other toy company wanted to run ads on the channel, missing out on a large chunk of possible revenue. Plus Hasbro constantly clashed with Discovery over priorities. Hasbro cared more about shows that pushed successful toylines and Discovery wanted shows that did good ratings wise to get more focus.

When all was said and done, it actually had good shows both old and new.

Horse show's final season starts in 2 days..

>A toy company shouldn’t be running a toy channel.
Why? Most of the cartoons at some points were toy commercials, arguably some of the best, too.

MLP was literally their most successful brand at the time.

Wrong place, wrong time. Started out in the 2010s which has been a massive decline for television, even for the big 3 kids channels.
It also had very little content worth sinking money in.

I miss Dan Vs, it needs to get a more adult revival/reboot on adult swim or something.
>Horse show will have outlived the Hub by 5 years when it finally ends.
Where did the time go?

The only shows I really even liked on here were TF:Prime, GI Joe: Renegades, Littlest Pet Shop, and especially Dan Vs., as it is.

Horse show was always overrated trash to me. I only went along with it because everyone enjoyed making me feel like shit for liking Littlest Pet Shop over Horse Show.

...It was beyond pathetic how every outer show was treated compared to their most popular one; only made me hate Horse Show even more, as a result.

ITS GAK GAK GAK

Dan Vs was awesome. Aquabats? Not bad, either. But I wasn't as big on it. Definitely needed another season.

Every damn day, it's like I'm the only person in the whole universe who actually liked (if not loved) LPS or anything about it and didn't see it as Some Horse Show "ripoff/clone", or whatever else retards love to call it...

Fuck, I'd draw some good stuff of it if I knew how to draw better, for one thing.

It tired to be a 90s tv kids network in an age where kids don't watch TV

Didn't they reboot this show?

Those niggas got rid of Kaijudo and I'll never forgive them for that. I'm surprised no one in this thread has mentioned it

Yeah last year, it's called Littlest Pet Shop: A World of Our Own

Celery

>No mention of the Aquabats
Sad.

Attached: IMG_9130.jpg (2472x1648, 372K)

They are getting a bunch of new content after their successful Kickstarter. New albums and a new season as well as DVD releases of the current one.

use your eyes, user.

>no one has mentioned Kaijudo
have fun in hell, heretics

I could easily see either of these relaunched on Netflix, they'd fit right in.

The Haunting Hour is practically abandonwear. The latter seasons aren't available on physical or digital anywhere. And I've never been able to find the series in it's entirety online higher than 720p.

Still irate.

The Aquabats Super Show. Come on, nigga.

It's weird how Discovery wanted their channel back real bad the whole time. And when they finally got it back all they do is make it a dumping grounds for old canceled leftover main Discovery channel series from 2005.

I miss it, it was like a throwback to how Nickelodeon used to be. Kids shows on the day and 80s sitcoms at night.

Not everyone grew up playing Duel Masters.

I only discovered it because they had original transformers on at midnight. And I was getting really tired of the same old Robot Chicken episodes every single day on Adult Swim.
