You mean like Buffy?

Is this porn?

What makes you think that?

>Steampunk Zatanna vs Man Bat!

Isn't it Zenescope? Have they ever made a single product that wasn't softcore erotica disguised as comics?

didn't Syfy already do that

Aren't they STILL doing that?

Thats Wyatt Earp. I think.

it's both

I think the character showed up before the show

>no series featuring an idle rich female Van Helsing traipsing around Europe alongside her family's faithful manservant and colonial servant girl hunting monsters and cryptids like a big game hunter

I'm actually kinda enjoying this series. My expectations weren't very high and it's just a fun book.

Exactly what I thought of when I came in here.

some of the Alice in Wonderland is pretty good. It's a nice horror book

Robyn Hood has better comics than recent Green Arrow or Hawkeye

>Green Arrow
fuck DC for cancelling it. It's their own fault, when Percy left they just tossed the book between writers constantly and never got someone with any idea of what to do.
>Hawkeye
Fraction and Bendis pretty much ruined him for the next decade at least. Only thing that could save him is having him lead the Thunderbolts again.

It sucks

What created the modern zeitgeist of Van Helsing being a vampire slayer, rather than elderly academic with a comprehensive knowledge of their lore?
Was it that awful Hugh Jackman movie?

I think it was the Scooby Doo special.

Abraham Van Helsing isn't a mere knowledge fountain in the book, he's an active participant in the Vampire Hunting and honestly probably the most competent character in all of Dracula.

I don't mind the occasional female Van Helsing. Dracula being an anti-hero/good guy pisses me off.

You know that's not what I mean.
In Dracula, he is not Abraham Van Helsing: vampire hunter, it's Abraham Van Helsing: Doctor.
He just so happens to hunt vampires alongside a psychologist, an estate agent and an American.

At the cost of citing tv tropes, isn't that just flanderization? The more the story was told, the more it was simplified, and Van helsing became synonimous with vampire hunter.

The Zenescope Jungle Book was surprisingly good.
>softcore erotica disguised as comics
I've been on the fence about buying more Zenescope stuff because of this, anyone have any recommendations?
I read Stoker's Dracula not too long ago, Van Helsing is a kind old man, and they spend most of the book searching for Dracula's boxes of earth in London until he flees like a loser and gets caught in daylight just before reaching his castle back home. Worst villain ever, all he does is drink from some women and hypnotise them. I expected a credible vampiric threat.

Aren't they together on a team JL Dark right now?

Yup.

That's a great looking vampire bat
