Comics has always been the domain of boys. Comics made for girls always failed in the past. Didn't matter if it was about superheroes or fashion models; girls do not like comics.
Now we are being force fed this notion that girls suddenly like comics. What has prompted this fake interest in what is really for boys?

I've only been interested in Batman/X-men related comics. I pirated a few Superman comics before. And I read a few of my little brother's Spiderman comics when he was super into it. I can't say that I'm a superfan (compared to other anons, I'm barely a fan at all) but I read comics as a past time.
People can like the same thing you do. I don't though why that's surprising.

Honestly, I can't say I have any female friends who are into comics. Even I can admit, I'm a huge weeb, I love anime and manga, can say I don't really care that much for cape shit. Yes I've read some Batman, Superman comics, but only when I'm in a library, I would never waste my money on that. I only really buy stuff, I will re-read which is manga.

Heck there are old photos from the 30's with little girls reading comics, letter pages in Marvel and DC that has letters from female readers. Stan Lee himself even said Silver Age Iron Man was popular with women. Vertigo had a lot of female readership, also early 90's DC. There's also Scans_daily before it went to the shitter, it existed before Yea Forums and it was predominantly female and they discussed comics.

I hated part 5 and 6. I like the ultra-stylized look that Araki used for the first four parts, but part 5 onwards was when it all just became a bit too much.
I did like Part 7 very much, though.
I don't know why, but every female hero has been marketed as a "strong independant woman" or the "first female heroine." This to me says that woman see heroines as extensions of themselves instead of characters.
