I must say, the first time I watched the show as a kid, I didn't like it on first sight because Peter was dressed in brown instead of green, Captain Hook's hair was white instead of black, and all those small design differences from the usual standard.
However, only after a single episode, the incredible portrayal of the characters and the expansion of the Neverland Mythos won me over and this has remained one of my favourite adaptations of Peter Pan (Probably tied with Hook as my favourite).
