Honestly, it illustrates the issues with the comic kingpin being a nemesis for both. If Kingpin is on the level of Daredevil, as in an ordinary human with high strength and fighting ability, Spider-Man ought to be able to take him down in like one punch. The way they've been able to justify it somewhat is that Spider-Man is holding back against the Kingpin usually, shown when he lets loose against him in "Back in Black", but this doesn't explain the times in the past Kingpin straight up won.
