MCU doesn't need the X-Men. The 1 Billion Queen and King can carry all of the MCU by themselves.
>Walt Disney’sCaptain Marvelhas $990 million in global grosses. When it passes the $1 billion mark later this week, it’ll be the seventh MCU movie to cross the milestone, along with the second “no Tony Stark required” offering to do so in just over a year.
Agreed comrade, with the X-Men eliminated so is the Rogue threat.
Brody Davis
But will it still make those numbers when there will be no Endgame to look forward too?
Ethan Sanders
>X-Men, F4 One costume, the team >Avengers We brought our own clothes
Hunter Taylor
If they adapted the X-Men, I’m almost certain they’d all get their unique looks.
Levi Cook
Disney bought Fox for the cosmic shit, the F4 themselves are shit and the X-Men are so overdone. Carol can carry everything by herself and T'challa can help too. Besides the MCU fans will watch anything Marvel Studios does.
Brody Parker
Carol was so scared of the Rogue threat she wrote a letter to Wolverine pleading with him to kill her for her.
Jose Scott
>Disney bought Fox for the cosmic shit No they didn't you fucking moron
They bought Fox for Alien, Avatar. Home Alone and the millions of other famous franchises
Owen Ortiz
Or they have to go extra lenghts like making charity "lets give X the oppotunity to watch X" to get it hyped.
Carson White
>Avatar Literally nobody fucking cares about it, it was popular because it was a fad and the sequel is going to tank now that most movies have CGI comparable to it
Elijah Morgan
Actually they bought FOX because it gives them control over 30% of the movie industry, far greater than any other studio. Anything else was a bonus.
Josiah Walker
Honestly they don’t need any existing IP. They could make a completely new character and it would rack in hundreds of millions.
Logan Cook
>because it gives them control over 30% of the movie industry This, if they could have bought fox news they would have too, anything to gain more political and economical power.
Luke Hernandez
Black Panther might, because it never really sold itself on Endgame to begin with. It was a standalone thing from the start.
Cap is fucked though. Disney pulled literally every fucking trick in the book to drag people into the theaters and the best audience reaction they could get is a "meh". They aren't going to be able to do all of this a second time, especially if any potential sequel or even her performance in endgame pulls in similar reactions.
Oliver Jones
He's correct but a retard. The MCU doesn't need the X-Men but a rebooted Marvel X-Men series will probably make a few billion dollars over the course of a few movies so Marvel's going to do it.
>Carol can carry everything by herself She can't carry her own damned movie for fucks sake.
Yes the F4 sucks but Doom is marketable as fuck and the Maker concept is genius. As for the X-Men it won't take much to bring up a small cell fo mutant terrorirsts and counter terrorists that shield is aware of but continues to forget about because reasons.
Isaiah Torres
I said it once and I'll say it again, if Marvel Studios where to make a Stilt-Man centered movie every Marveldrone would flock to it, buy merch, do slutty Stilt-Man cosplay and then proclaim their eternal love for the character. The MCU is at the point where anything they do will make bucks and Disney will ride the shit out of it.
Evan Gonzalez
>That one marvel team that has fuckbois, black superhero woman, kissing slut, manly gays, women in high heels and leotards, jews and other minor ethnicities aren't going to be big cinema money printing machines Lol'd at your post A storm solo movie would be enough to kill Cap Nu-marvel and meme panther
Luke Diaz
For real. James Gunn proved you can make any character work in this fucking franchise. Rocket Raccoon is almost a household name now for fuck's sake.
Which I love the Guardians so I'm not completely against them in particular.
Joseph Reyes
We learned this in like 2010, man. Why are you bringing this up now? MCU doesn't even need Spider-man.
Jaxson Stewart
Imagine a movie titled "Avengers vs X-Men", now imagine that box office.
Brayden Parker
>to forget about because reasons. Professor X! `nough said!
Gavin Rodriguez
Let's be real, Brie will be 30 this year. They didn't hire her for a long-term gig. She's here to shock everyone (who doesn't read comics) when they kill off their supposed "Flagship" hero.
Pay attention to who they cast for Rogue: she's going to be young, early 20s, someone they can count on to carry the franchise another 10 years or so.
Michael Lee
>Storm solo movie No. Storm is a great character but she works as part of an ensemble. Without someone to bounce off of she's nothing.
A new X-men built from scratch will be amazing. And you know what. Fuck the eternals. Get Angelena Jolie's ass in to play a hot version of Casandra Nova. She'll be all over that shit. Get those people to play the hell fire club.
You have any idea of how many people would love to play as a random x-men or x-men villian? How many fucking disney stars they can whore out as new teen x-men?
It will be like X-men Evolution...except good and a few "probably lgbtqa" members here and there. Shit Deadpool showing up and fighting Collosus alone would be great. Hopefully we won't have to deal with the grossness of Mystique and get a competent villaness like the white queen in there. And they can probably get the guys who played Prof X and Magneto to show up.
Jace Walker
Not at endgame
Carter Anderson
agreed. the x men's culture is too deep to be integrated for the mcu. i would not do it or make them their own series of films not related to the mcu.
Jackson Ross
Yes. That's what I was getting at thank you. Also I hope they play up the Professor X is a potential world level super villian tier evil with his behind the scenes machinations. Even hint at the Xavier protocols.
Alexander Morris
Didn't BP come right before Infinity War? It was pretty much the only movie of Phase 3 that I liked but I am pretty certain that both BP and CM only made as much as they did due to being released in front of the main Avengers movies. Obviously Disney bought tickets for CM big time but people apparently wanted to see it only because it leads up to the final entry in the franchise. Odd thing is that CM is the first MCU movie where I'm witnessing that I know literally nobody who has seen it
Kayden James
Yeah but which Avengers and X-Men though, because the best Avengers and X-Men are ancient
Nathaniel Walker
They need a black powerful wymen tho
Easton Williams
Kamala Khan would work better as a TV show
Austin Wright
Dude, I bet you most of the people who saw Captain Marvel and Black Panther would watch MCU X-Men over them.
You do realize that they can litterally do whatever the fuck they want and HINT at big shit happening off screen.
Would also hope they name the postmutates like spiderman and cap and extremis ironman "Marvels" rather than miracles. Because they have to differentiate between the muties and the mutated humans.
Asher Jenkins
I wouldn't have seen it if not for endgame
Owen James
>thinking a MCU produced X-Men film won't make 1 Billion dollars
Jace Ross
KEK. Forbes is retarded. Both movies sucked dick.
Mason Brooks
X-Men isnt about a super advanced african ethnostate that is much better at almost everything than any other nation so that's wrong.
Zachary Cruz
We'll see how peopel feel when the sequel comes around.
Tyler Nguyen
1) It's Scott Mendelson and he's always halfway trolling. 2) He's right, because in a sense we don't "need" any of this. There doesn't "need" to be any Phases after Endgame. Look at how long various studios have taken a break in the past. Lucas put Star Wars on hiatus for a decade and a half. Disney didn't make any animated feature films for over a decade. They're taking a long-ass break between Frozen and Frozen 2 for that matter. They don't need four movies a year for the MCU. It's actually smart to pull back after Endgame, and they've already been planning to do that forever. But it's important to remember that we don't "need" any of this shit. That said, yeah of course injecting X-Men into the mix 4-5 years from now will reignite the MCU and make everything go supernova.
>a rebooted Marvel X-Men series will probably make a few billion dollars over the course of a few movies I hate to even say this, but muhfuggah look at what FOX did with a dozen more-or-less "okayish" X-Men movies. Fox could barely get any of it right and X-Men would be known as the second biggest franchise ever right now were it not for the MCU. If MCU-quality control was put on X-Men, you'd have basically a whole other MCU-level franchise. They've just doubled their entire potential.
Wyatt Carter
The problem is that if you take a break with the MCU, the actors will age up. Spider-Man is being done every 2nd year while Tom looks like he can still go to High School. Cassie Lang will be 14 in 4 years, the same age as Stature. Not to mention how many years we will still have Sam Jackson.
Alexander Reyes
X-men are oversaturated. Give me more lesser known characters.
Chase Perry
I'm fairly burned out with Marvel movies at this point. I too don't need another X-Men film, no matter how close to the source material. I'm only holding on to Endgame to see an ending to Infinity War.
Levi Barnes
Black people who don't watch normal capeshit will still turn out hard for it
