So who was really in the wrong here?

So who was really in the wrong here?
The adults for not stepping in to stop the kids' fight until after the centrepiece was destroyed?
Bart for escalating the situation further than necessary and refusing to apologise for his actions?
Lisa for not just moving her centerpiece to a different part of the table to make room for the large, piping hot turkey?

Bart was the most in the wrong. The centerpiece was for the center. They all knew it would be in the center. Bart was being a little bitch about the whole thing.

But yeah I think the adults could also be partially to blame because not one of them did shit about it until it was too late. I guess they all could've been expecting someone else would step in.

Whoever set the table and didn’t think to leave room for the fucking turkey. The turkey should be the centrepiece and main attraction of a thanksgiving dinner anyway

I always hated Bart in this scene, and I feel like its mostly because of how the scene is set up. However, if I was holding a hot plate and somebody refused to make room on an otherwise crowded table I would be pretty pissed. Also, the centerpiece of the meal should be the turkey, as much effort as Lisa put into her centerpiece in the ends its a crafts project that just takes up space. Overall though kids are usually stubborn idiots and a lack of adult intervention is ultimately what caused the problems in this episode.

The adults. You see your kids bickering over stupid shit, do something

I’m pretty sure Marge says something, as unhelpful as it was

IIRC she said there was enough room for both the centerpiece and the turkey

D. W. should have left the goddamn plane alone

>t. Arthur Read

Better question is how the hell can a little ten year old boy hold up a huge and heavy piping hot turkey on a heavy hot metallic tray in one hand put also be pulling extremely hard on the centerpiece and still manage to over power Lisa’s two arm pulling without burning himself or dropping the turkey?

The answer is with great determination, and not for a long period of time. Which is why Lisa was such a bitch for refusing to make room on the table.

Oooh

I'll field that one. Let me ask a question. Why would a grown man whose shirt says "Genius at Work" spend all of his time watching a children's cartoon show?

Even better question was how did Lisa expect Bart to move a massive Turkey to the center of the table when he couldn't reach it?

I love how satisfied he looks when it all goes up in flames

Bart was in the right. He had an emergency, right there and now. There was no time to stop and talk about the morals of Thanksgiving while his hands were searing from said large, piping hot turkey.

This is just like almost every other Lisa episode where she's right in the moral aspect, but not in any practical aspect. Her life wouldn't have come to an end if she picked the centerpiece up for a few minutes for Bart to move it onto the table and THEN talk about it.

Bart's only real crime here was not being polite. Being polite wasn't his job at this point of time, getting the turkey to the table was.

>Heyy, that got her going!

Bitchin'!

Formerly shoed.

Lisa, that thing was huge.

Food >>>>>>> useless shit.

Why are they eating in their front living room when they have a perfectly large dining room across the hall? Convenience for the fireplace I’m guessing. Makes no sense still.

Bart did nothing wrong

They could have put the food on the kitchen table and then people get their food and then take their plate to the dining area. No argument and the centrepiece would have been fine.

>Simpsons
>children's cartoon
How about I slap your shit?

He didn’t have to throw it in to the fire though

Also, look how smug lisa is later when she's attempting to recite a poem about her suffering to the family.

I withdraw my question..

Centerpiece on table until the turkey is finished, and then put the centerpiece on the mantle- which is canonically four fucking feet away from them and has the space.

Homer and Marge look like they don't give a shit
How do you go from that to "YOU RUINED THANKSGIVING, I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY" in less than ten seconds?

Lisa just wanted some affection.

Turkey's expenssive though. Her not moving the centerpiece could have caused him to drop the turkey.

If his hands were so hot, he should have been wearing pot holders.

If I were him and I couldn’t find any room on the table and Lisa wouldn’t make room, I’d just take the turkey back to the kitchen. The turkey can’t not go on the table- it has to make it to the table eventually. And it’d only take a few seconds for everyone to realize that and for the adults to force Lisa to move the centerpiece.

Fuckers, I really want some turkey and stuffing now..

In the episode you posted? He most certainly did

>However, if I was holding a hot plate and somebody refused to make room on an otherwise crowded table I would be pretty pissed
Bart was bringing the turkey specifically because Lisa was introducing her center piece, he just wanted attention because Lisa got it.
It's the same as with the glue earlier.
the parents are still at fault though

What episode is this?

They have always been a satire of the american life.
Whats the satire on this if only one side is portrayed as flawless and unquestionable?

>And it’d only take a few seconds for everyone to realize that and for the adults to force Lisa to move the centerpiece.
Bart's literally retarded and unable to hold back on impulse because he's repeatedly been choked unconscious.

Then I guess Homer’s the one most at fault.

Though I don’t recall the choking gag being as big a thing in the earlier seasons like back around the Thanksgiving episode.

WHY YOU LITTLE..

Lisa.
You can't eat a centerpiece, and to be honest, it's not something you'll keep around compared to a Christmas tree or even a wreath.

But she spent forever on it user, as she states, so don’t be mean.

Fuck off, you could put that elsewhere instead of on the table that everyone is eating at, moreso since they were ready to eat.

I hate footfags more than you can ever imagine.

Lisa for making the centerpiece. You can be sure as shit that the first Thanksgiving didn't have a centerpiece, because the Puritans wouldn't stand for such idolatry.

The Injuns for starting the whole holiday and tearing families apart ever since

The one where Lisa babysits Bart and Maggie

except for ruining Thanksgiving.

The answer is obviously Wizards user
