I think the fact that this movie comes out October 4 shows that this is not meant to be a blockbuster like just about every other comics movie out there.

I do hope that this succeeds, because if it's not only a genuinely good movie on its own merits but a commercial success in WB's eyes, it could lead to lower-budget experimentation within the now-stagnant comics-based genre.
