it's okay, I didn't really enjoy it but that's mainly cause the setting rarely changes in the anime and I got bored after a couple episodes

The adaptation is okay but not nearly as good as the manga due to really weird choices in direction.

They cut odd stuff, changed some scenes, and quite literally removed ALL inner monologues. This arc is flat out entirely about mindgames and planning and strategy, and they uh cut all of the thinking parts so all of the kids come off like precogs and there's big stretches of time filled with nothing at all.

BC is just one of those weird things because while the manga is perfectly okay, it has quite literally no visible fanbase anywhere and the anime got a royal fuckjob by Studio Clown. Yet somehow, it hangs on.

Shippuden has better retention than JoJo and JoJo's number regularly fluctuate. It never has ratings above any show before it and BC gets ratings above JoJo from time to time.

That trick has never worked. The first issue is Super sets unreaslistic expectations for the other shows. Once we are rid of that in the fall, the block should automatically become more consistent. Secondly, there is no motivation for anyone to sit through shows they aren’t interested in. For example, rather than waiting for MHA, you can just go stream the entire season right now. If you don’t want to go that route, you just skip the shows leading up to it.

Now, there is a sizeable chunk of trickle down viewers. Problem is, a huge portion of them jump off right after Super because they are retarded DBZ drones. The few with some extra brain cells willing to stick around still need something familiar feeling to transition into. Mindless shonen punching battles like MHA makes that transition easier. Boring medieval adventures and monologues from SAO is gonna scare those retards right off. Admittedly that just shows their survival instinct is working properly, but it’s still bad news for the block
