Disney can belch out billion dollar movies by pretending that their source material is all about the latest hot trends. The women who watch The View lap up the idea that superheroes are woke, but will never buy one. Even if it was 99¢. They will, however, buy their kids the toys and movies tickets.
Comics are fringe and underground. That doesn't mean swear words, gore and tits. It means your mom and grandmother shouldn't approve of them.
