Coming up to the end of the arc, I feel what makes Radiant good is its pacing, since it's written for a volume and not on a monthly or weekly basis, the author has time to plot how much content is needed per chapter.
Similar to writing for trade, except without the polite fiction that every month you get a story and not just 1/6 of the slightly larger story an author from the 70s or 80s would of banged out in two or three issues.

Apparently people started liking this both on paper and on TV when Hamline started appearing and really spiked up when she died. Everyone though she was going to join Seth's "crew".
