Why can't Yea Forums handle a black Spider-Man?
N1gger
Because he's a boring character, created only to check off a cultural check box who has no personality or interesting hook beyond his race.
I can handle his movie version
His comic version under Bendis sucked. It’s gotten a tad better since he left but still not as good as the movie.
His tv cartoon appearances were shit though.
hs movie's acclaim is nigh incomparable on Yea Forums so, there must be someone around here that like him
Black Spider Man is best Spider Man
why does there need to be a black spider-man?
Miles will never be "Spiderman". By focusing on his race so much, ironically it has cemented him as Black Spinoff "Spiderman". People never think of him when you say Spiderman. You have to say Miles Morales before people will realize who you're talking about, because 'real' Spiderman is Peter Parker.
>black spidey
Carol did nothing wrong...
It doesn’t do your character much justice when you’re literally “Replacement Spiderman”.
I can handle a black Spider-Man. I can't handle THAT black Spider-Man, because he's boring and flat.
I actual like Miles a lot and love when he crosses over with Peter. I liked his new run so far too. I swear it's not just 'cause he's black.
Yea Forums can handle black versions of nearly every other superhero. Miles would get just as much hate if he was Asian or Latino. It’s because he’s a lazily written token minority. Or he was, at least.
Too normal faggy
It's like redditor spider man
He is ruining Spider-Man franchise and i hope you and Bendis get cancer.
The hell are you talking about? I love Static.
This. also he's just another electric type black man character
No really. his 'spider powers' are all related to electricity. He uses static electric repulsive forces to keep himself stuck to walls and stuff and he can zap people. He just calls the zap a 'venom blast' even tho its essentially a biological taser.
Yea Forums handled Miles just fine back when he was his own thing in his own universe it's when he came to the mainline universe and just became "More Powerful black nerdy Peter" and got shilled super hard that Yea Forums takes issue with him.
Because absolutely everyone on Yea Forums hates black people and wants Jim Crow laws and slavery to be made legal again.
t. newfag who thinks /pol/ speaks for everyone
Miles is a good concept. Spiderverse and the PS4 game are good. I like a passing of the torch type thing. I hate comic in general, and the shit they do to Miles specifically. Rewriting his origin to bring back Peter, therefore taking back the whole torch passing thing just shows a lack of faith in their own character. The writers don't trust him to be anything more than Spider-Boy, and I hate that.
Black Spider-Man is great. Whatever that trash you posted isnt
i can smell the new from this post
this is one of my favorite single issues of any spider-man but I also despise Miles with a burning passion. If you want to pass all of the problems off as just racism you can but that in itself is racist isn't it? I highly recommend you read it op
He's trash and you should return to resoyera
I had a Spider-Man, his name was Peter Parker
Spider-verse Morales is best boy what are you talking about?
>Black Spider-teen
>Female Korean Spider-teen
>Female British Spider-woman
>Alternate universe Spider-version of dead crush
>Literal Parker clones of Spider-men
How many Spider characters do you Marvel drones want? Jesus Christ.
t. racist murderer-wannabes in denial
Absolute proof that is telling the objective proof.
Parker's time pass passed. It's time he passed the torch to a new generation that accurately reflects reality and modern sensibilities, unlike the idealized 1950s square version that Parker exemplifies. Miles is more trendy, diverse, and accurately represents the modern mixed American youth than Peter ever will while demonstrating how the modern age is better than the old one. Spider-Man is a hero. And no offense, White Males just don't capture the image of a hero compared to a diverse character exists for modern audiences.
He works better in spiderverse and the PS4 game. He just wasn’t that well written early on.
I don’t know who you are trying to imitafe but nobody talks like this. Nobody thinks white kids don’t exist. They just think black/etc. Kids exist too.
Yeah, this isn't your granddad's marvel! These new heroes will surely go on to be successful
I totally passed on Miles before Spider-Man PS4 and ITTSV came out. I didn't dislike Miles at all in the game MJ takes the trophy of my least favorite character of that game and I loved Miles in ITTSV. Was his original run that bad?
If Miles was Melissa,no one would have cared.
You know how Prowler was Miles' cool fun Uncle who tragically died protecting his beloved nephew in Spider-Verse? Well in the comics he wants to use Miles' powers for criminal purposes, starts a fight with him, starts a fight with him which causes his claws to blow up, and before he dies he tells Miles that his death is on him. Not to mention Bendis can't write black slang for shit so all of his dialog comes off as forced
Because SOME PEOPLE keep making threads about his race. I'm not going to point any fingers but I'm going to make some insinuations.
Why should I have to handle him again?
Man that's really lame and edgy. Glad I skipped it all. Hopefully the new Miles' will be tons better in the future.
This just confirms my suspicions that Spider-Verse doesn't owe as much as it might seem on the surface to Bendis, and in fact is good because it fixed all the stupid shit Bendis did. A tragic death that mirrors Peter's Uncle Ben and redeems a villain is a way better story beat.
Why do people do this race-gender-swapping-co-opting of established characters instead creating new ones?
I forgot that his last words were "You're just like me" instead of "You're the best of all of us." Miles' mom also died and his dad left him when he found out he found powers, Bendis confuses drama for good writing all the time.
The credit belongs only to the Spider-Verse team and not Bendis. Anything that you like about the character from the movie was original. Miles is a nothing character in the comics which is why he always changes in appearances outside of comics. If you want to see what comic Miles is like watch Homecoming.
The same reason why Hollywood makes reboots and squeals instead of new IPs.
I didn’t even dislike MJ (outside of her gameplay). I thought the game had some of the best storytelling Spider-Man has ever gotten.
Their team-up was fun. A real interesting dynamic that got cut short because it's Ultimate Universe and you only get to scrap with villains once or twice before they die.
>Had a great first few issues
>Ultimates crossover
>Secret wars (2018)
>Gets shafted into 616
I'm still seething, why would they do this
>I's be Spider-Man too
Because there are tons of racist incel losers, who are threatened by the mere existence of fictional characters that look different from them.
>t has never read the comics and gets off on feeling superior
This, the very beginning of his adventure was pretty much cross overs. Its like they knew he was going to be just a more boring peter but black.
I blame editorial more for that. Endless multiple events that keep dragging characters out of their stories to deal with whatever gimmick they want to push. Though his 616 Bendis run was an unfocused mess. His new writer though has been killing it. Love it so far.
t. Nibba
The biggest problem with Miles is that they didn't give his universe's Pete's grave time to grow grass before we where supposed to accept him. They needed to pull a Reign of the Supermen or something. Actually show his universe react to a lack of a Spidey and have Miles earn his webs. It's pretty clear Ult Pete was killed just to bring in Miles and that sucks for actual fans. Marvel was telling us to buy Miles shirts before Pete was even dead.
He was only created because SJW's like yourself couldn't handle Spider-Man being white. Stop projecting.
