Where was the corrination?
Is she on the Disney princess website?
If not stop talking it your ass.
Fox is owned Disney.
Disney got all of Fox's entertainment assets on March 20.
They've got Fantastic 4, Xmen, and Simpsons I believe.
Anastasia was basically a disney princess knockoff an now it's a real Disney Princess movie
So? She was created by 20th Century Fox/Fox Animation Studios. A parent company purchasing a studio which made the film doesn't change though.
Though I bet the Broadway producers are kicking themselves that Disney didn't purchase it sooner, Disney probably would have thrown money at the lawsuit that they're having to settle, which is playing a role in the show's closure. Which closes today, oddly enough.
>Which closes today, oddly enough
BUT I WANTED TO SEE IT
....... unless you're lying...
Why would I be lying?
There's still the tour, though they chopped up an already structurally teetering show by removing a song and some historical inspired dialogue.
FUCK THE COPYRIGHT NAZIS
More importantly, would Anastasia be pregnant if the Confederate States had won the American Civil War?
It's not closing because of "copyright Nazis."
It's closing because the show failed to maintain a certain percentage of profits as required by its contract with the theater owners. Its inability to produce profits was affected--though how significant remains to be seen until after the lawsuit settlement--by the producers entanglement in a lawsuit of their own making.
It's also not "copyright Nazi" to expect a Broadway producer to properly license an adaptation of a play that they know full well they need to license before adapting. They will now probably pay more in a lawsuit settlement, to say nothing of potential profit lost if indeed they could have floated on Broadway for a while longer, than they would have if they'd just licensed the play in the first place.
Oh..... FUCK LOW VIEWER TURNOUT
/his/ pls
She's a character who is a princess who happens to be owned by Disney, but she's not a Disney Princess. Fun Fact: Elsa, Anna and Moana are not part of the Princess brand.
Which song did they remove?
Two allies in conflict over a loli? Such is the painful drama that awaits our dear readers.
Crossing a Bridge. It's replaced with a very short Paris Holds the Key reprise:
>Paris holds the key to your heart
>And all of Paris plays a part
>The bridge seems a good place to start
Oh that was a nice song but I can see why they might cut it.
Why do people keep using "soviet"? That word literally translates into "council".
t. knows Russian
Why are russian novel covers so good?
Was the performance ever filmed with secret cameras by russian hackers?
Because they aren't. No country has a monopoly on good covers.
I don't know about where you're from, Ivan, but in American Soviet means "bad guys" you pink fuck.
there's 2 audience videos of the full show floating around.
Too bad we didn't get a professionally filmed release, though financially it would have been out of the question for the producers. Maybe some day;... Newsies was filmed after it closed on Broadway, after all.
Does not excuse laziness with languages.
I will find those.
One video is the pre-Broadway version in Hartford, the other is Broadway.
I prefer some elements of Broadway, some of Hartford.
The antagonist in the Hartford version is more interesting to me... patronizing and well-meaning but ultimately dangerous. And he seems to know who she is even before she does.

Your eyes... a man can look right into them. ... Be careful comrade, they'll give you away.
Perfect
Plot?
>She was created by 20th Century Fox/Fox Animation Studios
She was a real person. Disney didn't create the majority of their princesses, but adapted them from other people's work.
These two are also Disney movies now. Discuss.
I refuse to acknowledge any studio purchases. Disney wants to put its stamp on everything and years later take credit? Fine. But I will not be like that. Pixar is Pixar. Marvel is Marvel. Fox is Fox. Fuck the mouse.
>She was a real person.
Anya/Anastasia is a fictional character from an animated film, based on a fictional character from a 1950s play. She was very very loosely inspired by a real life imposter who pretended to be a real life person, but the character of Anya/Anastasia from the Don Bluth film is inherently fictional. The real Anastasia was a 17 year old girl who was brutally murdered in 1918.
Disney's Cinderella is not the Grimm Brother's Aschenputtel or Perrault's Cendrillion, the same way that Disney's Aurora is not the Grimm Brother's Briar-Rose or Perrault's The Sleeping Beauty (in the Wood) or Petipa's Aurora. Disney's versions of the princesses are their own creations.
So either you're just a pedantic asshole or you don't know what the word adapted means.
Keeping Disney and Pixar separate is just pretentious considering how ingrained Disney has been in Pixar's history before they made movies. It's like saying PDI was anything without Dreamworks. At this point, they should merge because it's not like either of them make movies noticeably different from the other anymore.
It's not pedantic to correct you. Anya/Anastasia from the 1997 Don Bluth film is a character created by 20th-Century Fox. The 1997 Anya/Anastasia character is not the same thing as the real person.
The comment you replied to was me pointing out that the character is not suddenly a Disney Princess because the parent Disney company bought Fox, so I'm not even sure what the point of "she was a real person!!" was because no one said "20th Century Fox come up with this concept out of thin air 100% on their own."
So you don't know what the word adapted means. Good to know I'm speaking with a moron.
So you don't know that fictional means. Good to know I'm speaking to a moron.
Not coвeтcкий?
I hope she hangs out with Princess Elionwy, Kida and Kuzco in their own pseudo club.
>At this point, they should merge
Monopolies are shit, get out you filthy enabler.
I know the endings system. -of council(s)
I'd fix your typo, but it's just so cute that you're trying so hard. =3
Why delay the inevitable? It's pretentious for Disney to keep pushing out movies branded as "Pixar" and pretend like that makes them somehow classier.
>Disney now owns the rights to Tora! Tora! Tora!
Yea Forums remake featuring a love triangle between Mickey, Minnie, and Donald Duck with a vintage-WWII stereotypical Japanese caricature Kamikazing into the USS Arizona when?
Soundtrack done by Hans Zimmer of course youtube.com
>Dintopia helps the Confederacy save pregnant Anne Frank
>fixing typos on Yea Forums
Eww.
Also it's not cute that you think fictional characters are the same thing as real people You do know the real Anastasia was a brutally murdered teenager, right? Not a 2d fictional plucky 20-something who gets to reunite with grand-mama and sings Broadway-style ballads? There's a difference between fiction and reality. Please learn it before going outside.
Still not googling adapted. Yikes.
>Yikes on Yea Forums
Yikes indeed....
Also I know what adapted is. Again, there was no point in coming in with "but Anastasia was real!!!" because no one was saying that there was no real person named Anastasia that ever so vaguely inspired a French woman to write a play that 20th Century Fox adapted twice.
We are talking about the 20th Century Fox character, not the real person, and how the 20th Century Fox character was created under the Fox umbrella and thus does not turn into a part of the Disney Princess franchise because the parent Disney company bought Fox.
Now go play outside with your friends. You need some sunshine.
Oh (you)! =3
Please go back to Tumblr and stay there.
pretty weird there's a disney princess who was shot to death
I remember watching this thinking nothing about Tsar Nicholas until years later when I learned more about him.
God damn the movie is WAYYY to nice to that fucking moron.
it warrants a distinction
She's probably still alive and using a new identity.
>God damn the movie is WAYYY to nice to that fucking moron.
He's barely in the movie at all.
In fact, for a film set during the Russian Revolution and the annihilation of the Romanov family, there's barely any of either in it. It's insulting
Please tell me this is real
I wish i was in the land of dinos
nah, she was beaten to death with a rifle-butt
I get the meme but only a handful of Disney heroines are official princesses. Leia isn't one despite Disney having owned Lucasfilm for a few years now.
>After the first shots, I saw Alexei frozen in his chair, and his ashen face was covered with his father's blood as he sat there, unmoving in terror. One of the younger daughters died when she was shot in the back. Comrade Ermakov finished off a daughter by stabbing her in the chest over and over, and I remember Comrade Yurovsky shooting Tatiana in front of me; her head seemed to explode in a shower of blood and brains. The scene was sickening: the room was chaos, with blood and body fluids and brains all over the floor, and several comrades got sick at the sight.
However, it was not over yet. Anastasia and Maria survived the 20-something minute execution and had to be finished off outside.
>But Anastasia was still alive, and Marie, too, for as their bodies were carried to a Fiat truck that stood waiting in the courtyard, first one, then the other, suddenly sat up, coughing blood, moaning, screaming. They were outside now, and the men couldn’t shoot them; the bayonets came out, slashing through the air, but the knives struck the hidden jewels. And so someone grabbed a rifle, turned it around, and hammered away at the barely conscious faces, driving the wooden stock down again and again and again. Battered into silence, choking on splintered bone and shattered teeth, drowning in her own blood - this was how Anastasia died.
Statistically speaking, at least four or five of the Disney princesses would've died in childbirth.
>This sounds like the perfect fofder for a children's animated musical!
If it makes you feel any better, most of the executioners later died in Stalin's purges.
Except for Ermakov, the most sadistic of the bunch. Thank god Yurovsky didn't bring the family alive to Ermakov's men...
that's okay tiana will make up for it by having eight kids
The White Army should have won
>a disney princess killed by commies
based and redpilled, disney
They did DNA testing on the family's remains a few years ago and confirmed that it was really them.
