Now that the dust has settled what did you think of it?
Not just the finale, the whole show itself.

Absolutely legendary & outstanding and I mean that about the Series in it's entirety. it's close to if not perfect. it's My Favourite Animated Series tied with Hey Arnold! & Over the Garden Wall and is 1 of the pieces of Media that shaped Me the most.
It's like you could physically smell the writing staff fighting each other over their desperation to turn stand alone episodes into their own shitty arthouse projects. AT's biggest problem in the later seasons is it reached too far and tried to be more than it was, and ended up just stumbling over and ending on an unsatisfying fart of a note.
First 5 seasons are a fucking masterpiece
It took a turn for the worse halfway through season five, but still had enough great episodes after that to keep me watching all the way to the end.
Also, I'm the OP of the 2 AT Drawthreads from Last Month. After [as] stopped airing them, I stopped doing them since there's really nothing at all going on with the property as of now but I will do AT Drawthreads on April 28th, May 1st & May 5th because of the Complete Series DVD & Blu-ray releasing on April 30th and the Soundtrack releasing on May 3rd.
Adventure Time is a masterpiece and have shit taste if you can't recognize that.
I loved it. I watched it from the pilot to the ending and enjoyed almost every episode.
Went downhill after season 2. Adam Muto and his buttbuddies fucked up the show, and the relationship drama made me drop it.
Is there going to be a blu ray version? I thought it was DVD only.
Regular Show was better
Islands was such a fucking shitty cocktease. Finn resolves the conflict with his mother by just punching a fucking computer screen.
Yeah, there will be both DVD & Blu-ray versions, no 4K Blu-ray version though.
Well, I love it. However changes from season to season fatigued me. At first show was just different, but closer to the end I dropped it.
No it wasn't, it's very close though and Regular Show is also very Eggcellent
It went so bad towards the end and the reason it hit so hard was because of how great it had been before. Like watching an old friend get stripped naked and beaten with bamboo sticks.
Cool.
rs was better than AT
Again, it wasn't but it's very close.
Adventure Time > Regular Show > the Marvelous Misadventures of FlapJack > Chowder = OK KO Let's Be Heroes >>>> SU
But it was
Regular in its prime>AT in its prime
both were pretty good though
The first five seasons are good, the last five range from mediocre to terrible.
Pretty good at the beginning getting rather bumpy as it went along. It seemed like they wanted to tell a lot of stories but didn't communicate with one another on getting those stories to mesh and ended up either rushing them or just undoing the consequences of one anothers stories to get started on their own story. It got a bit better but you would get some 2deep4u nonsense occasionally but overall it was fine. The ending was mess, all those stories they wanted to write were quickly "resolved" with no real buildup.
bump
This flight data pretty much sums up how the show went, from my perspective. Don’t give control of something big and expensive to people who don’t know what they’re doing.
Seasons 1-4 were top stuff. Seasons 5 and 6 were absolute shit. Seasons 7-9, while not as great as S1-4, were good enough (except for Stakes, the Bubbline episodes and the finale, those can go fuck themselves)
Island and Elements were great, with Islands being my favorite miniseries.
One of the best things Cartoon Network ever made
Second only to The Grim Adventures of Nilly & Mandy
It's not even a top 10 CN show.
It was the epidemy of "unironic" cartoon humor. As the fan base and producers became more in sync the show became more cringy to watch. The show ended trapped between two masters
1. A need to flesh out all the characters in order to fulfill some pedo-laced fantasy
2. A need to force a drugged induce visual style in order fulfill an urgency of appreciating contemporary loser culture.
It now has cult following, meaning that 99% chance that someone says they like it--it's to be edgy or spiteful.
You've got to remember, that when it aired, there was nothing on TV that looked like it. Penn's style mixed things like children's art, Miyazaki, Home Movies, Flapjack and Dungeons and Dragons.
Stories where random, or fun, or scary but underneath it all i think the shows creative staff had a lot of heart and sincerity, and had a firm hand on the
>Characters (that they where consistent)
>Plot (that they made sense)
>Dialogue (they had set up characters talking in an unusual idiosyncratic speech pattern, i guess kind of like improv)
It really played up the whole "lore" thing without being in your face about it. The post-nuclear war thing was a fun Easter egg.
I enjoyed it.
I quit watching around season 4 or 5 because it just felt like it was becoming unfocused and the fanbase was becoming absolutely toxic to be around. Up until that point it was a great ride. I'd watched the original short ages before the series was picked up so I'd been hyped to see it come to fruition. Just a shame it burnt out as it went along.
Trash. I hope it is forgotten and only be remembered as something cringy zoomers when they grow up used to watch as a child or remembered "oh, adventure time was a thing."
Loved the first 5 seasons, liked most of the episodes till the end, especially the miniseries. The finale was disappointing and the last second Golb was dumb
>what did you think of it?
Season 1-2 - ok/good
Season 3 - very mixed bag
Season 4 went to shit and i stopped watching
how to spot a child
Best girl incoming
Ass
I really liked it for the most part. Although, going through a list of episodes, most of my nostalgia drops off after season three. I mainly thought of the show as the story of Finn and during the Islands mini I sort of felt the old magic again. I never really felt the need to know everything about Marceline, the Ice King, PB or even Jake. Their actions told you more about them then any flashback could.
It ranged from great to decent. I enjoyed it pretty much all the way through, and was reasonably satisfied with the ending.
