Rode off the coat tails of Pucca. A true secondary cartoon.

>pink rabbit blue rabbit

yeah this was just a lame karate version of tiny toons.

I remember it being good, but it's been about 10 yers since I last watched it.

This
That and the episode where Yin tried to learn the woo-foo aura thing tingled something inside of me, dunno why or what.

he was fucking garbage

Unlike Buster and Babs, Yin and Yang are actually siblings.

I saw a few episodes and thought it sucked. My main association with it these days are the couple of porn commissions I've made.

I feel like having Italian for dinner tonight but I had it yesterday as well. Should I go for it anyway?

Sure

And they failed at the one aspect even tt has
Getting a shit ton of porn

I watched it alot a long time ago but I can't remember if it was actually decent, strange

the latin version was good

I watched it recently, holds up well depending on who's turn it was to write. Had decent character development too.

I liked it, but started to feel weird watching in when the “adult diapers of doom” was introduced as a recurring plot device

The 2000s version of OK KO; an embodiment of a bunch of trends everyone was sick of

And where those trends? My memories of the 00s only get fuzzier and fuzzier.

It's the "50s retro meets anime" style. Fairly Odd Parents got really big around the same time the American anime boom hit it's peek, so pretty much every cartoon that came out around that time was an amalgamation of Butch Hartman's style and Shonen anime

Friendly reminder the panda turned out to be Yin and Yang's father.

>be in high school
>autistic sophomore in choir class
>always on his (school distributed) laptop, even during rehearsals when we're all standing
>he's just sitting away
>always got asked nicely by our director to put it away, never listens
>snuck a peek once at what he was doing, since he was visibly autismo (fat, neckbeard, acne, etc)
>on the screen was an amalgamation of either yin yang yo fanfiction and fanart or the yin yang yo wiki
>stop looking immediately
>mfw

Those are my thoughts. What was he actually looking at? Who knows...

How is that even possible?
And who's the mother?

Lets rank the cartoon joke villains:
Jack Spicer>Carl the Evil Cockroach Wizard> that pig wizard from Dave the Barbarian.

Nothing really shonen about the show at all. It had ongoing plot threads but never took itself seriusly for more than three seconds at a time. Also, it looked like a Hartman show because the majority of the crew (Steve Marmel, Sib Ventress) worked on Danny Phantom.

He mentions in an earlier episode, that he was a "player" (TV-Y7 term for manwhore), so could be anyone really.

Actually a pretty good show. It's even ahead of its tike, considering it was the first to try out the whole "episodic format with continuity and ongoing plots" format most cartoons have now. It even does it better.

Did Jack Spicer or Carl ever enslave the narrator and nearly conquer the entire metanarrative? I didn't think so.

Jack Spicer forcednhis waifu AND husbando into sexual slavery in an alternate future. Top tier villainry.

That would have been a good plot point for a 3rd season, too bad the series ended before that, even though, the finale of season 1 will always be the superior ending to the series.

I don't think there would be any shows nowadays with a villian like Saranoia, They would probably be seen as being anti-sjw which is a shame.

isn't that the show with the fat nigga dancing

Who was your favorite villain from the show?
My favorite was brother Herman, i specially love the episode where Herman and Carl worked together.

Yet, strange enough, Herman did nothing in season two. His only weakness was that he was allergic to panda fur, yet for a large chunk of season two, Master Yo was missing and presumed dead. But he never tried to make a move. He only showed up in cameos.

Yeah, i don't know that much from the "second half" of season 2, but the lack of Herman was a wasted potential.

I do feel that while it had a decent rogue's gallery, there was some wasted potential. Mainly with Yuck who's an amalgamation of Yin and Yang's worst qualities but spends season 1 as a lackey to the Nightmaster, and season 2 as a petty criminal.

The show had one of the best executive mandated episodes of all time. Disney wanted them to have an episode that guest starred two of Disney's live-action stars at the time. So they decided to actually have it take place in the real world.

Yin and Yang get sucked into a portal, where those two actors are just actors, and gradually start to turn into real rabbits. It was such a surreal episode.

We also found out that Lena was a dog in that episode, as her species was incredibly unclear and fans couldn't figure out what she was through the entire show's run. They made a joke out of it, as Yin and Yang didn't know she was a dog either.

I think that that's the biggest problem with having too many villains in a show, some will get more screentime than others and some others will be denied of their full potential to give screentime to lesser bad guys.

I haven't seen Carl but I can't imagine he ranks above Chuckles the Silly Piggy

Strangely enough, I feel like The Night Master and Eradicus, the two big bads, were some of the worst villains. Eradicus supposedly committed genocide against the Woo Foo Warriors in the past, yet I never quite felt like he was much of a threat.

That said, the season two storyline where a bunch of lesser villains tried to become the new Night Master was kind of fun. Even Yin tried to become the Night Master after getting corrupted.

I miss watching it at 3 am on a Saturday morning on Toon Disney when G4 went to Paid Programing and TBS' Friday night block stopped.

Episode title?

youtube.com/watch?v=hyuF618aAJA

Night Master was fine, he was threatening but funny sometimes and he always gave the impression of being a trully powerful foe held back by the light of the sun, Eradicus was meh, he filled the "funny" quota, but besides his introductory episode he wasn't threatening at all, too bad that Nightmaster got his character ruined by a single gag in season two in "shadowclucked" where is revealed that he survived the final fight in season 1 and now he has retired to a sunny suburban area, may i remind you that his only weakness was light, not just sunlight, but light itself, and was selling his army in a garage sale, at the end he is revealed that he is still evil, but he doesn't appear again for the rest of the series

Seeing that OP again after all these years is giving me massive whiplash.

The whole concept of Nightmaster is interesting by itself.
Nightmaster is an eternal title that is passed down from generation to generation, every time a Nightmaster is defeated, a new one is bound to take their place, the heroes might temporarily prevent it, but at the end, the rise of a new Nightmaster is inevitable alongside the "dark tomorrow", men the first half of season 2 was truly good, and "welcome to the dark tomorrow" was an excelent "finale", Eradicus should have been killed at the end of that episode instead of ruining him by overstaying his welcome.

Horrible design and just overall God awful show. It’s one of the many geometric flash animated shows from the early 2000’s era that I’m glad is finally over with. People complain a lot about the bean mouthed Calarts shows today (which I hate as well) but I don’t nearly hate them as much as the mass shit out flash animated shows which were basically character designs that were tweened rectangles and triangles.

A show is more than its style. Bob Boyle and Steve Marmel were its creative force, and they were the talent behind Butch Hartman's throne. They made early FOP and Danny Phantom so good.

Yin Yang Yo was a rare beast back then. An eleven minute comedy with a ton of continuity and character development.

>and now he has retired to a sunny suburban area, may i remind you that his only weakness was light, not just sunlight, but light itself
Honestly would be the last place i'd look for him, in the shows defense he was, covering himself from light.
Him coming back though for a single gag was terrible though

I didn't hate it.
I found the main villains consistently threatening and the minions competent as well.
I also found the concept of Woo Fuu pretty neat.
It was also neat that their friends, ended up being used more and useful in the second season

Why even bother to bring him back if at the end they weren't going to do anything with, you know, the most important character in season one.

>maid outfit
>with fishnets
they knew what they were doing alright

I used to love this show, its characters, humor and artstyle but I'm kinda afraid to rewatch it.
Don't know how to put it in words but I have this weird fear it won't be as good if I rewatch and just think "how was I able to watch this?".
I just hold it too close to my heart for a possible relevation like that.

I remember it being really funny, but looking back I'm not really fond of how BOTH main characters were massive jerks.

It had some fine episodes
also mocked feminists quite often (as well as insecure men)

I was watching it last week .
its still funny , and bring me good memories .
And I had fun doing fan arts of it on that time .
