I legitemately didn't know there was a Legion of Superheroes cartoon until recently.
no fuckwit, make your own.
Or else your thread deserves to die sub 10 replies. nigger.
The opening theme was pretty catchy not gonna lie.

Not having Karate kid earlier and them putting n superboy instead of Val-lor and Andromeda is pretty fucking weak.
Superman X definitely felt like an edgy kid’s donut steel, can’t argue with that.
however, YJ basically butchered Superman’s character pretty bad
bouncing boy was the best character, not gonna lie
Was Saturn Girl Telekinetic too?
Only stupid wahhmins and fags talk about male sexuality in such a superficial way
Not exactly what my arguement was but Kal X was cringe since he wasn't exactly played for laughs. I'm just disappointed when we have two daxamites that are basically Superboy and Powergirl that get lead poisoned every Thursday and have been in the League for years. Hell, they could even do an episode where Laurel could start off as her racist bitch character and by the end of the season she would instead stop mindlessly idolizing Valor's image but see him for the good man he is and finally move out of his shadow, that she willingly entered, getting her 90s Andromeda costume to signify the change.
kal x was literally invented as a peace offering so the execs wouldn't demand they edge up the original superman.
i liked drax from the first season, he had style
Brainiac 5 was thirsting for SuperD hard
This show was terrible. They should have gone with the originally planned canon DCAU show with Supergirl.
>YJ basically butchered Superman’s character pretty bad
Not really. Imagine if god-knows-who (probably Luthor) created a clone of yourself for unknown reasons and without your consent and then Batman appears and asks you to accept that clone as your son. How would you react?
>not liking Superman X
Shit taste
i'd feel flattered, but i'm pathetic like that
Remember, Clark is a good ol boy from Kansas. He values all life and is strongly opposed to abortion (hard to call it a collection of cells when you can hear it's heartbeat from China.) Clark felt violated by Superboy's existence, resentful of the parental responsibility forced on him just because it looked like him, but ultimately respected Connor's right to exist, and came to love the boy when he saw his only goal was to protect the innocent.
I completely understand how Clark felt, and I feel like it really humanized him. Besides, Clark got over it within a year
OP, why did you feel the need to pair these specific shows against each other? Why not TT?
praibably becuase Miiss M. and the fatal five were on the last JL movie
does anyone have this pic in better quality?
So it was going to be a DCAU show? That makes sense in retrospect.
Is it true the suits reduced the screen time of the females?
Not him but that JLU episode where her, GL, and Green Arrow (iirc?) go forward in time to help the Legion was a stealth pilot for this show. I do agree, making it DCAU would've been way better.
The Legion deserve better, honestly. If they got people who weren't hacks to make MoS, they should've included some references to the Legion in his origin to build up a LoSH movie or something. Or maybe the Supergirl movie could've included the Legion too.
>Supes feeling weirded about being cloned
>eventually gets over it
Why do people act like he told Superboy to kill himself or something
must br weird to be Superman and find out every week there is a new clone of him
This show introduced me to the Legion and is the big reason I started reading the comics. Fuck I miss it, is this in the DC app?
Because people blow everything out of proportion
Yes. That's why Saturn Girl was in a comma for most of the season and Alexis Luthor's entire subplot for season two had to be cut after she was set up in the first season.
Same thing happened in The Batman.
>actually wanted more DCAU
What we got wasn't perfect but sure better than yet another DCAU show. LoG just needed more seasons.
They were concerned that little boys wouldn't watch a show with too many female characters in it, so they cut back the screentime for the girls and increased the screentime for characters like Superman-X that they thought would be more marketable.
And they were right. I hated the first season as a kid
I liked LoSH, but after it was cancelled, Tucker and Jelenic went on to create greater things like Batman: The Brave and the Bold, so I'm not that sad about it.
Why wouldn't they put Superboy. He is the most popular Legion member and is DC's posterboy. His story works well with the Legion's
Sometimes it takes a while for a show to really hit its stride.
I liked the Mark Waid run in the 90s with the space KKK or whatever it was, like the white triangle or something and they hated a mixed alien race hero.
You lads got any recs for the best Legion shit? I loved L.E.G.I.O.N and R.E.B.E.L.S
>bad disco
shit taste son
Most normies and casuals now have an impression of Superman based largely on YJ, Smallville and MoS.
It's not at all a flattering or good impression.
They did bring back a lot of the female characters for the last season and introduced more of them too.
Lightning Lad was fucking hot in that show
It could have had better designs but the stories were OK
Who gives a shit about the LoSH
I liked legion of Superheroes, but YJ is easily more sophisticated in writing. Legion's main demographic was still elementary-middle school kids, even if the writers of these shows make them as open for fanboys of all ages as they can. They're still restrained by corporate demographic demands, and YJ was first made in a time where the demographic rules were looser.
Young Justice still had that scene where he tries to save the kroloteans.
Also, you are forgetting Injustice which is BY FAR the most damaging one.
>When they bring back adult superman to the future and phantom girl is lusting after his looks. Fucking good stuff.
You're the one with shit taste, buddy.
I honestly don't understand how the Legion fell out of popularity. They were big enough names to kick Supes out of his own book back in the day. Given how the franchise is a veritable waifu/husbando farm, it just doesn't make sense for them to have become obscure, reboots be damned.
Triplicate Girl is pretty cute
>I honestly don't understand how the Legion fell out of popularity.
DiDio and Jim Lee. They did the same thing with the JSA and would have done the same thing with Teen Titans if it wasn't due to Cartoon Network.
>Injustice which is BY FAR
True, but Young Justice was particular bad. Tumblr is essentially three opinions of Superman. That Clark is a bad father and that if you kill Lois, Clark will go ape shit and destroy everyone but Bruce will prevent. In both these scenarios, Bruce is viewed as the good father (YJ) and best/better team leader (YJ) and/or the super super hero (Injustice). The other vast POV is that Luthor and Clark are a thing, which is why some of these stupid bitches actually shipped Eisenlex with Cavill Clark.
Yes, there a few long time DC fans with a better perspective but you can find more people tagging things like Klaus and Number 5 from the Umbrella Academy or Jughead and Betty from Riverdale than you can find combined of any form of media that involves Superman (including Hoechlin and Supergirl from the DCW).
I don't disagree with you that they should be shitcanned for the good of the comic books and the rest of the IP, but we're talking about stuff that happened before DiDio had the amount of power he has today and when Lee barely was able to salvage any of his own Wildstorm characters from the dustbin of history due to his own lack of influence.
