So with DC universes expanded comics collection has that been enough to make Yea Forums consider getting a subscription? I recently subbed and I think it’s a good value so far considering how many comics I read. I honestly don’t give a single shit about their movies and shows though.

Do you even get to """own""" the comics you read on here? Seems like a poor value when you can buy comics digitally on Comixology or just pirate them elsewhere.

No because they still haven't expanded outside the U.S.

Besides if it gets folded into WarnerMedia then what's the fucking point of paying for it now?

So you pay money to rent a digital comic? Bravo, OP

Here’s every comic ever for free

>buy comics elsewhere
Well yeah, but it’s cheaper to just subscribe like this. Also if you are going to buy a comic you should own it physically. Of course you could always pirate but this is assuming you still want to support DC,

By that logic Netflix is dumb because you can pirate every show as well, yes pirating will always exist.

Yes

>expanded comics collection
>still won't collect most of their comics

So what have they added in this expansion? Anything good?

>DC is making good on the promise to expand the lineup of comics available in the DC Universe streaming app. Following several significant content updates in January and February, DC will be making its full comic book catalog available to DC Universe subscribers.
They are going to make every single comic more than 12 months old available.

>
Over the next few months every single digitized book will be added with them digitizing the gaps as time goes on. Pretty much every comic DC has published that isn’t lost to time will be on there as long as it is a year old.

Based (if it includes Vertigo)

Just curious, what DC comics are lost to time? Mostly Golden Age stuff?

Yeah, obscure golden age shit

>can upload all their comics to the streaming thing
>can't get their shit together with trades
This saddens me.

>full comic book catalog
>will probably just put up new releases and things that Johns wrote
whack

They literally said they will be putting up everything. Who knows how long it will take them though

Yeah, basically. Takes longer to download films and seasons but Netflix is a waste of money.

>lol just pirate everything
You can do that if you want faggot, that doesn't make it the correct choice. If everyone did then obviously there wouldn't be any being made. Why did pirates become such faggots?

unless you are the owner of a pirating site, i don't ever understand shilling one of those sites. I get sharing it with friends who ask, but going out of your way to shill pirating site is very retarded

If/Once they actually have everything on their I'll probably subscribe. The idea I can get to any comic with a few clicks instead of having to fucking hunt down a million links that mostly are dead, cmon now.

You can get a month for 80 cents, it's the only price I recommend it at.

>Complain about owning the comic you're reading.
>Recommend digital.
WEW

I would if it was available outside the US. Seems like good value. But considering it's US only I'll just stick to pirating.

I wonder if like Netflix they track read data and use it for future choices. Does this mean if I read a shit ton of Powergirl and Wally they might get solo runs?

bump

dc shills pls stop

They are likely to spend the rest of the year pounding on the chest of this doomed service.

yes it's worth it

>Of course you could always pirate but this is assuming you still want to support DC,

I sincerely can't see anyone that likes comics supporting either of the major comic book companies.

You're paying for access to a library. If you measure how much you read vs. how much you would pay to read a comic one time, it's worth it if you casually read a lot. I think these services are generally worth it if you use them enough.
Comics are better read physically, anyway. Digital is acceptable, but comics are the one medium where physically holding it makes the most sense, because you can naturally, without clicking around, look closer at some panels, skip over the purposefully less detailed panels, etc.
