He's got something like five kids, is the head of publishing at DC, until recently ran a Twitch channel giving away work (and harvesting money for his kids' college funds), and travels around the world on the con circuit - frankly I'm amazed he finds time to draw at all, let alone as well as he does.

He does not start the brain when he draws
His Batman has about 200 pounds of muscle.
That does not make sense, Batman must be a ninja, skillful and go unnoticed when he is Bruce Wayne
Jim Lee's Wonder Woman looks like an Asian,eyes, thin, no hips, no tits and ass
Does not remember an Amazon
And your Superman looks like another asian with generics muscles and bad hands and feets made with a poorly details
He does not respect the characteristics of each character, he only draws without connecting the brain
And unfortunately he influenced many artists who were forced to draw in the same style as him

Good art, but drawn so painfully slow you start to wonder if it's worth it. Is he OCD or a perfectionist?

While those side projects are noteable and a worthy cause, you're art will always be a extension of you, even in comics, and people will judge you on it. If you aren't trying your best people are going to assume the same about you.

His sketches online are amazing. His covers are fucking garbage. In large part to Alex Sinclair ugly unimaginative dated coloring.

I like his sketches better than his finished drawings.

I saw Jim Lee at a comics store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen X-Men #1s in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the books and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any liefeld infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each issue and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I really miss the old way of drawing Batman where he was always fucking moving and bouncing around Jim Aparo was the king of this, maybe even more than Neal adams just from page count alone. Once Hush came out it all became a game about giving Batman big pinup poses all the time.

His art lacks any humanity at this point. Like all he draws originates from his own style and nothing more. When he draws clothes, they're not real world inspired ways of wrinkles and folds, just Jim Lee world clothes. Body types and muscular development are all the same stock stuff he's drawn for decades. expressions and poses are all the same stock stuff. He has surgical precision to his linework(or maybe sinclair plays a big part of it), but it has no life. The current generation of art seems to be less about precision linework/inking and more about trying to capture some human element from real life instead of just doing house style comic work, I don't think anyone is trying to ape that style anymore.
