Yes, it's in the credits and everything.

You are very very kind to Drawn Together.

He had an angle, Charlie.

What depressing comic is that again?

clarissa

that was the comic version.
the movie version added the loch-nar and hanover getting killed at the end

That's even more of an angle.

Well, that's appropriate, because it's probably a reference to the Marquis de Sade, the famed rapist and sex pervert who wrote "The 120 Days of Sodom" and whose name the worst "sadism" is derived from. I take if rom this thread that there are people who have never read Captain Stern. Will we have story time?

Let’s start at the beginning.

Attached: BEADD134-6AB7-462A-80DF-711EFD0B558E.jpg (1003x1515, 331K)

And a little preview of what’s to come.

Attached: 9066C5A4-F322-4462-BB0E-79E16E67559D.jpg (1003x1515, 275K)

Now Stern is not the most popular guy. Also don’t mind the dead bodies.

Attached: 2C518C24-BE0D-4634-A0B7-7265963DA5E5.jpg (1003x1515, 519K)

And here’s Beezer! If you’ve ever wondered what that strange robot in the heavy metal short was about, he’s one of Stern’s best friends. And like any good friend he has concern for Stern’s safety!

Attached: DB30EFD3-8CA8-487E-92FD-7466D3A6B11A.jpg (1006x1518, 347K)

Egad! Our hero lays slain on the floor!

How many issues are there? think you could storytime the rest sometime? I admit I want to see if Illissa/Shirley has a happy ending with her fiance, and if we end up seeing Sternn's infamous trial.

This was great, thanks for sharing.

Finding out that most of the Heavy Metal stories where based on existing comics stories like this one was a bit of a treat. I need to track down the Den comics one day.

The trial scene’s actually from volume 3 of heavy metal, which has a slightly different continuity. but it’s short enough that I can do a quick story time here.

Thanks

So long as he keep up appearances and makes it look unconnected to us, I'm happy to turn a blind eye.
Zapp Brannigan does not have any sense of decorum and will get us and everyone near us killed.
Plus Sternn's epaulets look better than Zapp's nonsense.

Ok that's fucking it
What's up with the prostitute ring shit?

Which part befuddles my you good man?

In the Heavy Metal short, one of the charges read out in the court is that Sternn ran a prostitution ring using preschoolers. Presumably that charge, along with the 37 counts of rape, was included to show how much of an evil prick Sternn was.

Actually that wasn't something he was specifically charged with by the court. It was something Hanover blurted out about Sternn while failing to present him as a good person during testimony.

Guess I remembered it wrong, thanks for the correction.

You need to get outside more.

Seems Hanover's not foolish enough to let just anybody track down the safe. And it seems there's a spy in our party's midst.

Attached: 005.jpg (1000x1518, 567K)

Although this may have been overkill.

Attached: 006.jpg (991x1518, 556K)

A camping session sounds nice.

Attached: 007.jpg (991x1518, 541K)

Especially after going in circles to 14 different dig sites...

Attached: 008.jpg (991x1518, 471K)

I sure hope this doesn't end badly later for Nico and Shirley.

Attached: 009.jpg (997x1518, 446K)

Now here's a secret ingredient for your Cola, a fruit so delicious that animals will walk though a 200,000 volt electrified fence to get it.

Attached: 010.jpg (997x1518, 533K)

Wise words Coffers, what's the point in beating someone if you can't let them know you're the one who beat them?

Attached: 011.jpg (986x1504, 1.29M)

Poor Stern, he's just too crafty to stay clean. A man needs his angle.

Attached: 012.jpg (997x1518, 546K)

Eagle eyed readers may see that Wrightson took the time to draw the negative of the imprint the safe left on the earth over millions of years.

Attached: 013.jpg (997x1518, 535K)

Stern's military training kicks in as the group come under fire!

Attached: 014.jpg (997x1518, 611K)

But what's this? They're firing cosmic cola?

Attached: 015.jpg (986x1502, 1.18M)

Who knew time travel farming could be so dangerous?

Attached: 016.jpg (997x1518, 408K)

How about you come here a minute Justine?

Attached: 017.jpg (997x1518, 536K)

I always got the vibe that these two were a bit too close for grown siblings...

Attached: 018.jpg (997x1518, 529K)

Stern certainly is an introspective person.

Attached: 019.jpg (991x1518, 454K)

Does anybody in this thread need Indiana or object to it being turned into a giant graveyard?

Attached: 020.jpg (991x1518, 534K)

Coffers unintentionally calling himself rotten meat.

Attached: 021.jpg (991x1518, 489K)

And what a twist! Turns out Hanover's still a step ahead of everyone!

Attached: 022.jpg (991x1518, 337K)

Now for the backstory.

Attached: 023.jpg (991x1518, 451K)

But first let's check in on Stern and co.

Attached: 024.jpg (982x1518, 518K)

Industrial espionage is no joke kids.

Attached: 025.jpg (982x1518, 535K)

Although some of you may be too young to remember the Coola wars.

Attached: 026.jpg (991x1518, 511K)

And most of us are too young to remember cocaine in our Coke.

Attached: 027.jpg (985x1518, 466K)

>37 Counts of rape

Attached: 37 counts of rape.jpg (3110x2073, 1.12M)

The monkeys always choose to be alone with cocaine.

Attached: 028.jpg (985x1518, 555K)

Drastic measures indeed.

Attached: 029.jpg (991x1518, 491K)

But the real question was when did the safe go?

Attached: 030.jpg (980x1502, 1.13M)

Here we have a nice 2 page spread.

Attached: 031 032.jpg (1600x1229, 635K)

I like E.I.O. Shame he's only a side character.

$2
BASED

Yes, supervise the robot move a pile of rocks.

Attached: 033.jpg (982x1518, 509K)

Now with this new formula, customers are basically going through withdrawals.

Attached: 034.jpg (1002x1501, 1.28M)

Remember, Cosic Coola loves you!

Attached: 035.jpg (994x1518, 479K)

I've actually met 2 people who were in this kind of position in the business world and this is a pretty accurate representation of their mindsets. More is never enough.

Attached: 036.jpg (994x1518, 406K)

Illissa having second thoughts?

Attached: 037.jpg (1003x1518, 454K)

A pity she may be a bit short on he uptake.

Attached: 038.jpg (1016x1518, 526K)

All these lessons in evolution and watching the robot move rocks is exhausting.

Attached: 039.jpg (991x1518, 571K)

But this will liven things up a bit.

Attached: 040.jpg (991x1518, 437K)

Get a Jewish lawyer

Another nice action spread.

Attached: 041 042.jpg (1600x1217, 809K)

And a good character witness.
Here comes trouble.

Attached: 043.jpg (997x1518, 525K)

Things aren't looking good for our hero.

Attached: 044.jpg (997x1518, 550K)

Here we see Stern acting out ofalignment with his Heavy Metal segment, that Stern would have let Justine become dino food.

Attached: 045.jpg (980x1501, 1.21M)

And probably wouldn't have gotten whik'd with a tail.

Attached: 046.jpg (991x1518, 516K)

oh dear

Attached: 047 048.jpg (1600x1205, 742K)

Well folks, our beloved Captain Stern is in a dire situation. Caught within the jaws of death and millions of years from home.

Attached: 049.jpg (1010x1518, 535K)

This is an awesome thread. Thanks comic posting user.

What will become of our hero and his group? Will Fillmore recover the lost contents of his safe? And whatever happened to Hanover fist? Find out in the next issue! (if people are still interested in reading more)

Attached: 050.jpg (999x1499, 1.15M)

Please do go on.

No more room in hell? Iunno man, in horror it's generally a bad idea to explain the exact cause of the weird shit that's happening, because the unknown is generally more intimidating than the known.
Yeah, probably.

>yfw people have to stock those economy sized boxes of rape
>people having to deal with rape at work because customers keep opening up the boxes

Best song in the movie.

I'm told New Coke actually tasted pretty good and that Coke Classic doesn't actually taste like the original Coca Cola. Trying new Coke is one of the really dumb things I'd do with a Time Machine, Along touching a Dinosaur seeing the Roswell (and/or Tunguska) event and possibly meeting Jesus.

Would an allosaurus even find human sized prey worth the effort?

Cheap Trick is GOAT.

That sounds like a story in itself.

Im here an interested.

>and that Coke Classic doesn't actually taste like the original Coca Cola
of course it doesn't they took the cocaine juice out

It probably would give it a shot if the Human was out in the open/unaware

Attached: allosaurus-size.jpg (617x270, 102K)

Story time user here, if the thread’s still up in three hours I’ll start posting issue 3.

yeah punch me in

I am very interested in a continued storytime. This is awesome and I am very grateful you've posted it.

Hell yeah they would, we would be easy to catch and provide probably a days worth of energy

What happens to them now seeing as their bikes won't start and all they've got are their suits?

Don’t worry user, they’ve got an angle.

>no Moebius segment

What does Sonic the Hedgehog have to do with this?

I'm back and so is Hanover Fist!

Attached: Issue 3 Cover.jpg (1010x1527, 481K)

Hope you're all enjoying the story so far.

Attached: 002.jpg (1000x1518, 304K)

We left our hero grasping at the jaws of death and rejoin him in much the same situation.

Attached: 003.jpg (1000x1518, 464K)

EIO to the rescue!

Attached: 004.jpg (1000x1518, 496K)

Don't worry Nico, it's never too late when it comes to time travel!

Attached: 005.jpg (1000x1518, 523K)

How does an evil villain celebrate beating two people unconscious and stranding his arch nemesis to be eaten by a pack of dinosaurs? With pie a la mode.

Attached: 006.jpg (1000x1518, 492K)

And of course the most satisfying thing in the life of such a man is denying others pleasure.

Attached: 007.jpg (989x1499, 1.17M)

Nothing like nearly being torn apart by a hungry dinosaur to work up an appetite.

Attached: 008.jpg (1000x1518, 515K)

Ever the adventurer is Stern.

Attached: 009.jpg (1000x1518, 507K)

Now let's ride some dinos.

Attached: 010.jpg (989x1501, 1.26M)

Earth's not looking too good, garbage men are so busy flying zombies to the moon that there's no time for trash collection.

Attached: 011.jpg (1000x1518, 576K)

Poor Coffers can't even walk down New York's trash-filled streets without being attacked.

Attached: 012.jpg (1000x1518, 574K)

And resorts to hiding in a garbage truck full of zombies,

Attached: 013.jpg (989x1497, 1.25M)

Decapitating dinos really takes the edge off a stressful day.

Attached: 014.jpg (989x1499, 895K)

Although using your bare hands to do it shows a fairly high level of stress.

Attached: 015.jpg (1000x1518, 465K)

Pine nuts certainly don't sound very tasty.

Attached: 016.jpg (989x1501, 1.23M)

So let's sample some mushrooms.

Attached: 017 018.jpg (1600x1213, 1.79M)

Why knot indeed Beezer?

Attached: 019.jpg (1000x1518, 484K)

You know the dialogue in this is really well-written

Clever girls.

Attached: 020.jpg (1000x1518, 565K)

Wrightson had been working on Captain Stern stuff for more than 16 years by the time this was published, there's some nice polish in this story.
I sure hope this doesn't have any terrible consequences, but what's the worst that could happen? Anybody want to take a guess?

Attached: 021.jpg (1000x1518, 559K)

Looks like more trophies for Coffers.

Attached: 022.jpg (1000x1518, 450K)

WTC still standing I see.

Attached: 023.jpg (1000x1518, 487K)

He has! Early on we saw some zombies working in one of his factories

Coffers explain the real estate market very succinctly.

Attached: 024.jpg (1000x1518, 432K)

Oh no! Could this be it for Stern, Justine and Beezer!?

Attached: 025.jpg (1000x1518, 523K)

Hmm? Something bigger than a heard of dinosaurs is coming

Attached: 026.jpg (1000x1518, 552K)

And here's me thinking I thought I knew what evil was before this moment.

Calling Hanover Fist!

Attached: 027 028.jpg (1600x1212, 763K)

>Are you gonna spoil your first Dinosaur Ride by worrying?
There's something cosmically obscene about a guy like Sternn being the most sensible person in the comic.

Hanover put a lot of faith in Stern to make it back to him, three years spent wrestling dinosaurs and carving messaged into bedrock can't have been easy.

Attached: 029.jpg (1000x1518, 480K)

S'Nothing.

Stern is one of those people for whom the universe seems to fold for their own convenience. If you know that you've got that kind of luck why wouldn't you just go with the flow?
Let's check in on Aldo and Nico

Attached: 030.jpg (1000x1518, 480K)

Mama Fiste gave her son good advice.

Attached: 031.jpg (1000x1518, 541K)

It's hard to think of something sadder than being sent back in time and having to kill dinosaurs because your boss did something dumb.

What could be worse than refreshingly addictive cola?

Attached: 032.jpg (1000x1518, 557K)

Yeah, but I was introduced to this guy as a horrible bastard who was on trial for a few million different crimes and one moving violation. I dunno, I guess I keep on waiting to see him do something worthy of being torn into itsy bitsy pieces and buried alive. And he keeps on being this Ferris Bueller affable troublemaker type of guy.

I wonder?

Attached: 033 034.jpg (1600x1212, 772K)

That's exactly who he is. In the trial scenario his enemies had him up on trumped up charges. He was calm because he knew he was innocent and that his angle with Hanover would get him out, it's like a game to him.
Now hold onto your butts folks.

Attached: 035.jpg (1000x1518, 499K)

Because things are about to get funky.

Attached: 036.jpg (1000x1518, 526K)

This is what happens when you give your accomplice 36 Million years of downtime waiting on a pick up.

The protestors have begun burning effigys, but they might not be ready to give up their Cola quite yet.

Attached: 037.jpg (1000x1518, 588K)

Oh good, she's learning.

Attached: 038.jpg (1000x1518, 453K)

Nice use of EIO to make sure that our heroes wouldn't miss the portal opening again.

Attached: 039 040.jpg (1600x1212, 751K)

Dunno why Coffer's in such a hurry to get rid of the dead people, they buy Cosmic Coola too.

Yeah Justine, what's your problem?

Attached: 041.jpg (1000x1518, 509K)

True, but they clog up the streets and smell awful. Better fling them into the sun. As for the R.O.W.D.I.E.S, I think they just want to protest something for the sake of it.
Something very naughty indeed.

Attached: 042.jpg (1000x1518, 510K)

>that spoiler

EXCUSE ME

Good old Stern, the simplest solution is often the best one.

Attached: 043.jpg (1000x1518, 569K)

Well there you have it ladies and gentlemen, zombie Tyrannosaurus Rex. Time to show Coffers what his tampering with time and nature has wrought.

Attached: 044.jpg (1000x1518, 529K)

Earthworms have a vital role to play in the ecosystem.

Attached: 045.jpg (1000x1518, 469K)

Here comes the truth for poor Nico, how will he handle it?

Attached: 046.jpg (1000x1518, 546K)

Possibly better than Justine's handling the news about shooting the dinosaurs.

Attached: 047 048.jpg (1600x1212, 770K)

Lets just say the entire animal kingdom deserves better than to be compared to Coffers and leave it at that.

So, are our heroes and possibly our villain ready to face down zombie dinosaurs?

Attached: 049.jpg (1000x1518, 489K)

Anyone know somewhere I could download all these comics?

Attached: Africa Metal.png (787x823, 1.86M)

Oh the humanity! Look at the terrible tragedy man's careless greed and ambition has wrought. Can our heroes solve the plague of zombie dinosaurs and bring Fillmore Coffers to justice? I'm sure he's got a moving violation somewhere in those secret files. Tune in for issue 4 next time!

Attached: 050.jpg (1000x1518, 453K)

I wish I hadn't looked this up.

Incredibly underrated post.
