Holy shit. That was David Bowie? I had no idea. Which to be fair as a kid I didn't even know who David Bowie was. And I don't think I've ever rewatched that movie or whatever it was since it came out. But I can't believe they got David Bowie on SpongeBob.

Kind of the same here. I remember disliking the show for a while at this point, but Nick hyped the fuck out of this special, and I figured the David Bowie cameo would at least be worthwhile.
Then the whole episode was complete shit and Bowie didn't even sing, and what songs they had were almost entirely shit.
