I don't remember the specifics of this episode, but it never actually said he was from Armenia or anything, right? Like it's just his name that's really heavily Armenian?
Maybe his father was only like half Armenian himself and married a non-Armenian woman. I don't know how much this show gives of the TAMZARIAN FAMILY TREE but unless the show goes really heavy on his Armenian heritage, which it didn't last time I checked but then who knows since I haven't every episode, there's probably some room for interpretation of exactly how much of whatever blood he has.
