It's really weird watching an episode from 92 where Lisa is portrayed as another kid. And not some overly political mid 30-something that happens to be really short. She actually acted like a child and had childish flaws along side Bart.

I don't understand what the writers are trying to do with her. she is like the Marcy D'Arcy of the show, constantly shoving her politics into everyone's faces and constantly pushing agenda at all times, but never gets that comeuppance that Marcy receives over and over again showing that she is just as flawed as her perceived enemies. Lisa's only apparent flaw in the show is that she is too smart for everyone else in town until it sometimes isolates her.

that's like trying to intentionally create an unlikable character.
