Also last week I walked into a comic shop turns out they were all sold out of umbrella academy. So hopefully good news for the show and or comic

How is the show anyway? Don't watch or have a tv.

Nothing like the comic. Just takes some themes really. Most people prefer the comic but I like it more as its down to earth and more liner.

Well that's a dang shame. Especially how much I loved the comic.
What's different??

Focuses mostly on part one. The time assassins corporation plays a bigger role. Those two hitmen with the mascot heads get a bigger role but spend most of the time with it off. Most of the kid's powers get nerfed or changed in some way. Although rumor seemed mostly the same too me. Only one vilean from the first arc makes an appearance. The family feels more fleshed out. Not nearly as much of a homage to comics and rather feels more like an X-men show with a better budget.

All in all its going to be one of those things you like because you saw it first before the comic.

Reading through the changes it's highly apparent that they wanted to make the characters more sympathetic and likeable for viewers; something I generally would prefer not occur as I see it as a form of pandering.
In any case maybe I'll check it out sometime in the future. Hopefully I'll like it.

I honestly don't think they could possibly 1 for 1 transfer this comic into a show. For one there's not enough content to fill a season. That's why comics are a unique medium and trying to compare adaptations can be retarded. Watch an episode while doing something and decide for yourself.

I liked the show and I also recognize there's things from the comic I wish they used or will use in the future.

Although really all but one of the characters are huge dicks and have their huge dick moments. Just not completely misanthropic.

Lots of action, the academy siblings finally show what they were raised to do.
