Alright, Yea Forums tell me one thing he does right

Obv. shitty things not to mention: Letting his daughter die, making divisive movies, etc...

Post legit good things. There's a reason why people like him

The Dawn of the Dead remake was okay. Had a great opening montage.

He is great at dumb action and adapting from an established template.
Sin City is great, 300 is great. Watchmen is still mostly great, though it's adaptation is a bit trickier due to Moore putting lots storytelling int comic specififc stuff like panel layout.

Sucker Punch is dumb as a bag of hammers, but great fun if you know what you're there for (dumb action and oggling Vannessa Hudgens).

His DC is bad.

>Sin City
Robert Rodriguez directed Sin City.

Huh, could have sworn it was him.
Rest still stands though.

300 was really cool back when I first saw it. I would likely enjoy it if I watched it again.

I mostly enjoyed Man of Steel.

His punches and explosions look and feel heavy and impactful. He's good at making things look grandiose. If only the stories he tells were as much steak as sizzle.

Dawn of the Dead is literally the only good movie he ever directed and it was because James Gunn saved his ass.

I love everything about Man of Steel besides...
> Tornado scene
> The "maybe" line
> Lois's tinkle, measuring dicks lines & degrading Lombard at the ending.
> The kiss
> Not having a montage of Superman saving people from the rubble between the death of Zod & the drone scene.

Score was magnificent. The military porn was nice but didn't beat you over the head with patriotism. The sense of scale & power was exactly what Superman's stories should have.
Entire cast of Mos was great.
Adams is easily my favorite Lois ever. For all the complaints about Snyder lacking subtlety, he absolutely handled their relationship with restraint & subtlety. She is the most competent, least bitchy, least overly emotional Lois I have seen aside from Tas.
Art & outfit design is great. The texture & shimmery sleekness of the Dceu Superman suit is absolutely beautiful to me.
I went into Mos in my original viewing with full spoilers but the final battle still got my heart racing, only other time that happened was the end of The Dark Knight.

I like Lois tracking down Clark/Lois investigating the Africa incident/Clark investigating Batman in the Ultimate cut of Bvs stuff. I'd really like a Mos sequel that is mystery oriented focusing on Lois & Clark working together as reporters.

Clark's sacrifices with Doomsday both the nuke & the spear are fantastic as well as him destroying the world engine.

For me Affleck's Batman is flawless in Bvs besides killing during the car chase.

Letting his daughter die Is a double edged sword, bad because his had to leave but the good thing is that DC/WB conferred without saying it that his vision was shit

People like his cinematography, which kinda baffles me because he's really one-note and his one note isn't particularly creative.

Seriously? She is your favorite Lois? The woman with some of the most snyder tier dialogue in history? The woman that has zero chemistry with the "love of her life"? The woman that made me waste minutes of my life on that horrid Arctic scene? She is the one you will stand behind?

I am sure she is a fine actrress with a decent pair of tits, but she makes Smalville Lois look like the goddamn Marlon Brando of the superman wives.

TAS Lois was plenty bitchy, that's why she actually felt like Lois.

> The woman with some of the most snyder tier dialogue in history?
I really don't know what this means.
> The woman that has zero chemistry with the "love of her life"?
Their interaction in Mos wasn't about romance, it was about respect & trust with Clark saving her life and him having to put his secrets in her hands.
> The woman that made me waste minutes of my life on that horrid Arctic scene?
There is nothing wrong with that scene besides some of her diologue with the military guys. I like the mystery of the scene & of her finding the ship.
> I am sure she is a fine actrress with a decent pair of tits, but she makes Smalville Lois look like the goddamn Marlon Brando of the superman wives.
I haven't watched enough of Smallville to make a real comparison of them but the thing Durance has over Adams is Lois's iconic snark.

Bosworth is a bit unlikable but I also enjoyed her more then most people.
Kidder is just unbearable. The romance bullshit ruined Superman 2 for me.

Guardians of Gahoole is ok, stick to animation

>He is great at dumb action

Is he though? Man of teel was ok, but Batman V Superman looked pretty goofy, and Watchmen's use of meme slow motion was completely inappropriate for the story.

He is great at getting capeshitters butthurt.

Action scenes, having villains who are threatening and trying to have memorable music

He is also great at being so butthurt everytime another movie in his company gets more praise that he feels he needs to get himself in the spotlight again.

I don't think anyone is butthurt in this scenario except him and his worshippers

He has a good eye for contrasting the colour palettes in a scene. It's easier because he works with a monochromatic base most of the time but when it works it looks good.
I also appreciate the fact that he cuts the shot after an impact. Makes shit feel weightier.

What did i tell you you autistic fuck

His visuals are great but he's a terrible story teller

But the fact that he can trigger pathetic losers on the internet this badly with a single sentence is definitely something to admire

Cope

Yeah Snyder really is trying to cope with the success of WW, AM, and now Shazam.

Leaving the DCEU

>one sentence
It was a long ass mental breakdown and after that his autistic fans started to spam the board with his video.

Sure it was definitely that one mean old snyder fan making threads and totally not Yea Forums shitposting because they knew it would trigger retards like you and get you to make 15 threads about how Snyder RUINED DC 4EVARRRR because he made a bad DC movie and those NEVER happened before he showed up

Attached: DvX30OkX0AkUms2.jpg (900x416, 77K)

We're just discussing how he's trying to climb back to relevancy because AM and Shazam's impending success just puts his ass deeper in the hole. While Snyderfags are still defending his ass.

His visuals are legit awesome.

I gotta agree with here, his 300 adaptation was pretty good (Although the slow mo feels dated as fuck now). He works best making gritty action spectacle

I love everything, EVERYTHING about BvS, but the JL inclusion. I think that BvS is one of the better capeshit movies there is, and i don't mind all the drama. Just the fact that BvS exist and was made feels me with joy.

Didn't like MoS that much, though.

By all accounts seems like a nice guy with rich ideas, he just needs a filter to funnel out the shitty aspects of it. Goyer was the wrong guy to do that, because he’s a hack

Shut up, virgin. Goyer was responsible for Johns writing his only decent comic.

>oggling Vannessa Hudgens
have some standards

300 was an interesting visual spectacle

David don’t you have more shitty movies to go write for?

Get laid.

He's good when it comes to deciding how powers should look

Bend over and I’ll be glad to, bitch

Since nobody wants to post anything good

He usually does action scenes wells. Except when he somehow made the fight between Superman and Batman boring in a movie called Batman v Superman.

300 is probably his best movie, because it's all about the thing he's actually good at.

>By all accounts seems like a nice guy with rich ideas, he just needs a filter to funnel out the shitty aspects of it
THIS!
If Nolan had just put his fucking foot down in regards to Superman killing Zod Mos would have been received vastly better then it was.

Don’t say that user or the autistic Goyer fan above will go into an epileptic seizure at suggesting such a thing as saying MOS wasn’t competently written in parts.

Oh to be clear I am personally just fine with him killing Zod, I just think not doing so would easily have made people more receptive to the film and would have made for a more hopeful ending which most people want from a Superman film.
It's less that Zod's death was badly written and more it's just too much a departure from what audiences expect from the character to ever be given a pass.

He hires really good composers for his action sequences and probably tells them what he thinks will work/won't.

Seriously watch one of his action sequences without music and tell me it's still good.

You could say it was the straw that broke the camel's back in that movie I guess since it was the most memorable out of all the other dumbass character decisions made.

Hey, she was super cute.

>more it's just too much a departure from what audiences expect from the character to ever be given a pass
Nah.
MCU Cap kills a FUCKTON of people and nobody really has a problem with it because it's done well. Normies used to see Cap in the same boy scout light that they do Supes.

>people are laughing at my husbando
>oh no I’m not mad ur mad

But cap has never been big on ‘no kill rules’. He’s a soldier for gods sake. A literal personification of the American military.

>guy makes shitty movies
>makes fun of his daughter suicide

Tell that to the normies

He has a good sense of visuals, someone just has to put him on a headlock whenever he tries doing something stupid, edgy or "deep".

See:

Funny thing is I like most and I thought Zod’s death was good they were just too abrasive too soon with Superman killing. These are ideas that would work 6 movies down in a cinematic universe. Also it was written very awkwardly with Superman and Lois consoling afterwards. Whole thing just came off very robotic
