I don't think the glitch even matters. DeMarco is the kind of guy who intentionally wants to leave people in the dark about shows. And either way, he waited until less than a week was left to announce MP100. This new show could turn out the same way.

Demarco's choices are ruining Toonami. Adult Swim has made it abundantly clear they like FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Big O, and Space Dandy because it's short and fun. Laaloves surreal and gross humor, but Nips don't share his taste. Lazzo would've unironically gotten PSG, and Luluco on Toonami because they suit his taste. He hates long running anime like Inuyasha because the plot is fucking stupid.

I hate to say this but the action in Super is much better. Boruto has good fight scenes, but they keep hesitating because of the family drama.The whole arc could've been 10/10 if the sons had just turned on Shin soon instead of "Muh Understanding"

Well to be fair, it was a gaiden arc made by kishi that was only suppose to be 10 chapters small and wasn't suppose to be of any importance to the bort series but because the anime team wanted to adapt a monthly manga, they had no choice but to animate it as they got nothing else to animate. Not only was the plot dumb in the manga but none of that shit in that arc is ever going to be brought up again.

What does the final episode's airdate have to do with the dub's premiere? Megalobox's first episode got its dub 8 months after it aired in Japan (and 6 months after the final episode). When JoJo Part 4 ends on Toonami, it'll be almost 9 months since Part 5 started in Japan.

All of AS, including Toonami, have been steadily falling down. Toonami has had a bit of an upswing in past months because they adjusted the schedule, but much of our current success come from Family Guy being in primetime ahead of the block. And AS stands to lose that to Disney in the next few years

I think Adult Swim understands that their viewers want a consistent schedule. That's why King of the Hill left a lot of good memories for a lot of people, it aired at the right time for people to watch. Disney and Viacom are just going to buy the rights to Family Guy, then sit on them to force people to watch their streaming service.

In short, Adult Swim cares about the viewer, Disney cares about the money. If anime companies didn't charge ridiculous fees to air shows like Inuyasha, or sit on the rights, then Adult Swim would air them. It's kinda why they like cheap stuff like Squidbillies.

Super has rerun FIVE times outside of Toonami now. It’s not gonna cut it.

Kai is just uncomfortable as fuck to watch. You're better off just getting Z uncut with the right adjustments. I still take issue with the fact that Krillin and Goku are never given enough time to process what happened and properly grieve. Kai just treats all the death scenes like a check list and heads to the next plot.

Kai is a perfect example of why 1:1 adaptations of manga never works.

They basically haven’t shit on anime fans since at least 2012 when Toonami came back. The only mean spirited anime bump I recall was when they called out Keijo and said people need to save anime by watching One-Punch Man. As a fan of both shows I thought that was hilarious. But they have come a long way from bumps blasting anime ratings for being consistently mediocre, telling people not to cry about there not being enough anime on the network and the “anime is teh suck” days. You can probably thank DeMarco for the phasing out of those bumps trashing anime and anime fans.

Kai is literally the same show from the 80's and 90's cut up using windows media player and photoshop so of course the show is going to seem fast paced because it was literally cut down, this is Toei for crying out loud. Toei used to put in a lot of effort to make shows. Sometime around the turn of the century, they started hiring freelancers to do anime as a means to cut down on costs. Plus, animators and workers wanted to unionize.

People like Dragonball because it's a well done MMA match with ringside commentary. Only OG DB fags, Japan, Toriyama are nostalgic for simpler times. Note how Super is better during Saturday nights in the West, than on Sunday Mornings in Japan up against Kamen Rider.

They’ll decide whether to shift shows down in the same order or rearrange some in preparation for the next shows so they don’t have to move shows twice.

That’s the theory people had with Titan season 2 and 3.

But if within weeks of the Japanese airing isn’t the right time to air a show and a year or more after the hype isn’t the right time to air a show then when is the best time window for airing something on Toonami? Like a year later or a bit less? Megalobox started airing about 6 months after it ended but I don’t think it would have done better sooner or later.
