Just got up to speed from reading the first thread. I only found out about this comic from a brown waifus thread a couple weeks ago. It's pretty OK so far, annoying dumbass protag besides. Interested to see how this plays out.

It's better than most shonen currently on the market. It starts slow but really picks up and, thanks to his french roots, isn't afraid to get its hands dirty since he doesn't have an editor constantly over his shoulder telling him to play it safe.
You could even argue about the fact that the later arcs do not really feel like you're reading a shonen considering the overall tone.

It is, but since it's non about little girls or long-running TV shows it was hated on Yea Forums even before they decided that being syndicated in Japan with an anime did not excuse the fact it was written by a Frenchman.
