Nothing you do will be original and everything you think of has been done many times over by others. It's not about how original the premise/setting is, but what you actually do with that idea or character interactions.

You can tweak it if you feel more comfortable not having something so similar, but it's fine for similar properties to exist. I always think back to the Breaking Bad creator who said he would've never made his show if he was familiar with Weeds beforehand. And that'd be a shitty world to live in, one where Weeds exists but not Breaking Bad.

Comics, manga, anime, music, and movies all have shit where a ton of products are similar. Even fucking video games directly rip-off other games exact mechanics because they work. People just get antsy when it comes to American products because so few animated movies/TV shows come out in a single year, so it's always easier to shout rip-off, compared to live-action where there's about a hundred sitcoms of "Five friends in THE BIG CITY" airing right now and no one says dick.

I definitely get what you mean, Star Butterfly is an example of a young teen girl who is definitely drawn to be cute but in a way that would only be sexual if you're already inclined to be attracted to teen/loli waifus, she wears big poofy dresses and has zero curves to speak of.
Luz on the other hand gets drawn in the short shorts + tights combo which blatantly shows off the girly curves of her legs and thigh gap, her hoodie is short enough to show some belly, and plus she has the beginning of tits coming in and a bit of a booty too. The design is definitely compelling you to think about her sexual traits in a way most cartoons don't dare unless the character is at least 16, and I don't think Luz is older than 14.
There was certainly hype from the outset on the appeal of it being described as a "horror-comedy" with lore, at this point all we have to go on are the designs and a couple of backgrounds and it may seem at the moment that the only reason anyone would be invested in the show would be due to their boner (and that's probably true) but I think it's just a matter of actually seeing some footage and learning more about it before we can write the show off as lewds being the ONLY appeal

I think if done right this may be some "cute" comedy show with magic action here and there about a girl exploring a strange magic world.

The other networks aren't having nearly as much trouble.

Harvey Beaks staff was almost entirely online artists and they were quite good about not revealing their work early. Same with Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Regular Show, We Bare Bears, Rise of TMNT. Just seems to be Disney that is consistently getting leaks.
