If you haven't played Ace Combat 7, you should. Might be the best VR I've played. VR is just the medium. It's not good or bad. It's just that the examples thus far have on the whole been uninspired. If they were to do it right, it could make use of the type of informational presentation/immersion like what the MCU has shown, which could be cool. What was shown seems to be going for that, but also suggested gameplay built around a Fair shooting gallery more than a narrative driven series of missions that allow us to come up with unique ways of stopping comic book villains.

I think the biggest obstacle is getting past the whole "too powerful to be fun" idea so many people have. Spiderman is strong enough to kill normal criminals with a single punch yet we still get fun games with him. Devs just have to be creative and tweak his powerset for gameplay
