The first 2 episodes are original...ish stories, but 3 episode onward we got the Last dragon, Floating theatre and now Golden Tail.
Mind you that they are not exact copies of the old stories. Just mild changes to fit the continuity. Like Golden tail takes place after Theatre and the setting is the same theatre.

I don't think any other animated adaption could ever beat the style and cozyness the jap anime had, but it's still really great to have more moomin to watch, such a nice calm experience.
