Probably did small tests to see how durable she was and how much of her natural strength was a factor. It would be pretty cool to see some kind of spinoff that explores how heroes train themselves in this world when they're free and active. We know Bob had to sneak around and use places like train stations to get himself back into shape, but it's probably not too far fetched to imagine that Supers had training centers before the original and probably will again now that they're legal once more.

I think a much bigger problem is that it didn't have a compelling villain or villain motivation.
The villain undermines themselves by showing modern technology can pose a bigger threat than supers ever could, even in the hands of normal people.
It was also just much more predictable.
I liked Bob's subplot and I liked how Helen got the leading role this time, but the way they executed it wasn't as compelling to me. Seeing Helen as elastigirl working for the company that was extremely obviously going to be the thing turning on them wasn't as interesting as infiltrating a secret villain volcano based superlair.
The amount of time spent on the fucking baby was really tiresome too.
The movie felt great to me moment to moment, but on a macro level it was just boring.

Incredibles 2 was a shitty rewrite of the first movie with Mezmerella instead of Syndrome. They brought back the fucking Tony Rydinger subplot from the first movie, instead of building on Violet's character development they reset the relationship for a couple of cheap gags. Nothing can save a movie when the script is that awful.

The Tony and Violet thing was really on the weak part of the film, and even then they managed to make it work well enough into Bob's part of the story since it was an honest mistake on his end as he just assumed the mindwipe would have only undone Tony's knowledge of Violet being a super.
It was fairly interesting, but it certainly doesn't hold up as strongly as Buddy/Syndrome's spiteful attitude. He just wanted to help and got rejected hard (even though it was for his own good), while Evelyn did have something of a point that there are people who could become too reliant on heroes and not take care of themselves or rely on more normal means like the police. If anything, she should have gotten unhinged as she sees that Supers like Helen and the small team that was assembled for the conference were genuinely capable of helping the world and not making people fallback on them for everything. As it was, her remaining cool and collected just ends up making her look more obtusely stubborn than someone honestly unable to accept that her father's death was a rare incident and not the truth for all normies.

I like the idea of people becoming over-reliant on supers, but I don't think the story lent itself to that message. I feel the technology aspect clashed with the image aspect, which was, in my opinion, the most interesting. A firm dedicated to positive spin on superheroics? That's fucking awesome. Adds a whole layer of grit to the process, sort of undermines Bob's image of the glory days and Helen's desire to be a new kind of hero.
I mean, imagine a scene where the advertiser guy calmly explains how he covered up countless deaths, improprieties, and billions of dollars in property damage caused by supers?

If the premise of the film was about the danger of hero worship, that would have been better.

Her point wasn't about who wielded power though, it was to show that (in her mind) Supers can't be trusted so easily. Even if Supers weren't forever barred from heroing after the conference if the event had failed as she wanted, it would have likely prevented another big event like that, making a possible future reinstatement for Supers something less grand and probably far more restrictive than what they got.

Little of both. She was splayed out atop the RV, while her arms and legs were hanging onto the rim of the plane thing that comes out of the rocket. While it was inside the rocket, she probably had space beneath her to let the RV sit on before tightening up once the rocket broke away and they had to glide with the plane. Either way, it clearly took some strain on her given her yelp as she lets go of the plane when that finally is broken off.
