sounds legit

It's not a bad movie, even enjoyed it. But the crux of the movie involves a boy watching his mother get burned to death by aliens, being stranded on an alien world essentially alone and growing up blaming himself, the protagonist ends up in a similar situation twenty years later and has to convince this socially broken man to get out of his literal depressive trashheap and find redemption in saving the protag's mother the way he could not save his own. Also cute alien and an importance of family message.
Solid 6/10

I especially like the opening song. If there’s anything to take away from this movie, it’s the soundtrack.

The bad guys being sent to choke in space was a pretty brutal off-screen death too.

All of those hanna barbera movies had weirdly rocking soundtracks.

Really? Shit, I didn’t expect it to br that dark. I knew there was an adult male character that lived in an alien dump or something in it, but I thought it was more like Robin Williams’s character in Jumanji, not that he had some horrible backstory about his mom dying in some terrifying way. I figured it’d be one of those movies where all the stolen moms are returned and everyone lives happily ever after with no consequences.

Martians kidnap mothers from Earth so they can murder them and infuse the mother's mothering skills into robots to raise Martian children. It's not good. Genuinely disgusting to look at, and possibly the least funny thing I've ever seen. I saw it two years ago and I still get flashbacks to one of the "jokes".

Kid's mom gets taken by martians, he travels to mars and gets her back.
It wasn't very good. The animation is now the definition of uncanny valley.

I've seen it. Gave me nostalgia for pic related for some reason, so I'm probably nicer to it than many others. Pretty forgettable still.

Shit was fucking crazy. Then again, Chahi's games seem to love putting the human characters into some fucked up situations.

Great title, marginally possible decent concept, mildly decent art, dull, dishwasher tedium level movie

I've seen it. It's fucking weird, and you can see why it flopped so hard. Wouldn't recommend it.

I watched this on Yea Forums's recommendation. It was alright, but totally forgettable.

Killed off too many characters.
It has the Dark Crystal of being too goofy for adults and too scary for kids.
