It’s annoying that the fucking fill in artist was better than him, fucks sake and at least make it like what 24 issues to spread out everything Vavara backstory should’ve been a full issues and the ending battle could’ve been spread out between 2 and three issues so we don’t akwardly focus on people we don’t care about underground and mike should’ve been drawing the fight

I've always felt that real life is one thing and fiction is another, considering things like story structures exist. I.e. I needed some cash quick and luckily I've met an old friend on the street so he offered to help me out. It could happen, sure, but if you put it in a fictional narative it comes of as contrived. If the point of the book(s) is, like you imply "death is always sudden and immediate", the whole narative should be built around it in order to explore it properly, but I don't see it here. I feel the main gripe people have that Abe, one of the original 3 characters, got the same tretment as everyone else, and it feels stupid.

I understand it. I also understand their point, after such a long time it feels like the End came way too soon. It shouldn't have been like ABe Sapiens with 36 issues, but the end of the B.P.R.D. should have been a little longer and a little more explained. Finally ending Rasputin in only one issue is a little weak. If we ever get a longer version or an epilogue series i will feel better about it.

Just caught up on the newest "devil you know" issue...is it just me or did everything sort of...trickle away? Like, there's not even any emotion to be felt anymore, it all just goes down the drain. There's no real explanation for why or how Rasputin survived, much less came back with this much power, and everybody's just getting killed off except for the characters no-one cares about.

Well... I always knew he was coming back. Baba Yaga keeping a spark of his soul around confirmed that for me, and it getting tossed into the world tree's roots, which lead down to Hell seemed like a perfect lead-in to a return. Especially since In Hell was supposed to be a long lasting series, and Mignola took some time to reintroduce some villains. We also saw this part of BPRD, where his pet Nazis are trying to find and resurrect his soul, but mess up, because it's not with the Ogdru Jahad. There was always a feeling of him coming back eventually.
Didn't expect it to be in the last few issues of BPRD, though.
