Succesful properties without the fanbase?

>Be big movie
>Made by the biggest animation studio in the world
>Make 650 million dollars
>Win the Oscar
>Make an animated series sequel
>No one watches it

How did it happen? Can't even find downloads for individual episodes let alone the whole season! Did no one watch it? Is it going to be a modern lost media once they stop airing it?

I don't get the appeal of Big Hero Six. Seemed like a real rush job.

Recently I started watching the show, it's nice.

But why is its presence so low? The producers must have thought it was a surefire hit since they greenlit the second season immediately before it even aired.

I just want the full season in my digital collection, maybe make gifs out of it or goofy edits, is that too much to ask?

Disney has treated their animated series very badly. Only Ducktales and Big City Green have been saved. In addition several series have been renewed for a second season before the show was released.

I remember it only for all the disgusting incest shipping

It'll probably be around for a while longer.

>How did it happen?
Well first, they premiered the pilot episode and had everyone wait SEVEN MONTHS for a new episode in the US. Not only that, a handful of episodes aired in other countries before the US during those seven months. Right when episodes started to finally air, Disney decided to give the show no chance and only air it at 7 AM with no reruns.

>Is it going to be a modern lost media once they stop airing it?
It can't be "lost" if you can stream it legally.

It doesn't help that the show's animation is shoddy as fuck. The art style and character designs are great, but that all falls apart when they start moving.

It was all right, though I don’t like that they decided to set it in alternate universe San Francisco instead of Japan. Guess they wanted international appeal? Can’t really market a movie with a Japanese cast in China.

>No one watches it
It has a higher viewership than Star Vs.
Be glad that it doesn't have an autistic fanbase actively ruining it.

Its on a channel no one gets?

Shows usually get immediately renewed so that they don't lose any of the production staff in between seasons, as it is very risky to wait until the end of the season for renewal since staff members could move onto other productions, delaying the start of the next season.

Does it really? Thats just embarrassing for Star Vs, that show should have not made it past season 2
It’s on Disney channel but only airs once at 7 am with no reruns

Movie was aight, I think the show is a step up

But I understand the limited appeal, it just wasn't a stand out brilliant movie nor did it have something that made people really hold onto it as a cult classic

Closest I can think of is the lust for Gogo and Honey Lemon

Disney has really fucked up consistent scheduling & reruns. It's like that for all their programs. I think they're not giving a shit & are holding out for Disney+ to give greater access.

BH6 average viewership is between 0.5 / 0.7 M
Star Vs average viewership is between 0.3 / 0.5 M
It only got higher than that during it's first season. BH6 might have the same drop with its second season, but I simply mean that it is not on the verge of cancellation or anything.
And I really like Star Vs. but BH6 mostly appeals to a younger demographic that doesn't bitch online about their ships and the deep lore.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Star_vs._the_Forces_of_Evil_episodes

I’ve also seen lust for Tadashi, Karmi (for the series) and Hiro
Usually that’s the last resort

Here's a mega upload. I'm uploading every episode in 1080p as of right now. So it'll take a while till every episode pops up in the folder. It'll be 20.1 gb when it's done.

Use Base64 to decode since this is my link I don't mind it being shared. Though try and keep the link hidden so it doesn't get taken down.

I mean... it was the shota that grew the fanbase

Ben 10 has next to no (English) online fan base, yet it brings in billions a year with toy sales.

What's with you and china? You act like them being a very powerful country is a new thing

They should have made the series about Hiro, Tadashi and Baymax. Nobody cares about the rest.

I really like High Voltage.
I hope it gets another season, but probably wont.

Disney XD has been airing Big Hero 6 a lot.

Hey now, everyone loves Gogo's big fat ass too.

Tadashi is gone, you must overcome it and continue with your life.

How would you go about this now that he’s dead

They'll probably be in Season 2.

Attached: High Voltage.jpg (1920x1080, 294K)

I think the reason why the show/movie has a small fandom is cause the incest ship between the brothers is a bit popular in the fandom and half of the fandom tried to push back against the incest but the incest shippers made the fandom toxic.

You're doing God's work user!

The animation really turned me off from the show. I only saw one episode with good animation, the one that introduced High Voltage.

I'd say that the plots are cliche and dull, and most of the characters are pretty shallow cutouts. But the villains are really fun, I'll give them that.

Show related, what are your thoughts on these shorts?

>that show should have not made it past season 2
why do you say this?

I haven't been able to find much westaboo fanart for it either since the show started. But I'm probably just not looking hard enough, or at all.

Tadashi x Hiro was probably the most popular, globally.

OP here.
Dude, seriously, Thanks a ton! Looking forward to marathoning this now! I hope you have a glorious week ahead of you!

It has a fanbase, it's just small and hasn't gotten cancerous yet. Honestly, I've seen worse treatment.

You can't always judge a show based on it's online presence. Some fans, and this may shock you, just are able to quietly enjoy their shows without making it the epicenter of their lives and feel the need to shout it from the roof tops.

if I didn't browse Yea Forums or coincidentally listen to Brooks Wheelan's podcast where he's mentioned he got TJ Miller's character when Disney fired him (also weird that KH3 got him back)

>City of Monsters
Glad to see that this storyline won't be forgotten.

Attached: Let's kill da hoe BEEEETCH!.png (1280x720, 499K)

Karmi monster soon is that guy claiming to be an animator was legit.

Attached: 1546323751535.png (562x262, 164K)

Considering KH3's abysmal development time, I wouldn't be surprised if they recorded all the dialogues before he blew up his own career.

oh fuck, I meant if not for those two things I'd have no idea they made a show to continue from the movie.

yea, I think his head trauma shit didn't get him "#cancelled" til a year or two ago. Definitely later than when they announced BH6 was a world now that I think about it

What other stuff did they say? They've been trustworthy so far.

Glad to see there's still a competent action cartoon airing.

I was going to mention the Netflix Stretch Armstrong series, but I haven't heard anything new about it since September. I don't know if it's coming back.

Great, they're appealing the fetishes now.

>Implying they didn’t before

those were fun

Young Justice exists, unless you mean strictly on cable.

I'm pretty sure that's done.

I hate that the show switches animation styles every other episode.

>half-breed asian characters
>San Fransokyo
culturally irrelevant and virtually no appeal. in fact, the city name has some disturbing cannotations to it. i'm not surprised people aren't getting into it.

Artifical heros vs The mutants in season 2?

I did think it was weird how mutants were suddenly brought up in the show and how the heroes just assumed the guy mutated himself on purpose and didn't question the scenario more.

I don't think anybody watches Disney XD.

I like the porn and I follow it religiously
it seemed lik the next spiderman but hiro being "powerless" really brings the thing down, no kid looks up to being him

The episode that dealt with his power insecurity was kinda weak.

100%, and the city being filled with tech wizzes doesn't help one bit

It'll probably come to Disney+ and get ripped from there.

On a similar topic, did the 3D models from Kingdom Hearts 3 get ripped yet? I want movie-accurate SFM porn, dammit.

Haven't made it all the way through yet but I'm curious if they'll ever revisit Callahagn or his daughter

Or is facing the man responsible for killing his brother too much for this show

I saw BH6 in theaters but it was pretty underwhelming, I didn't even know there was a TV show and probably wouldn't have bothered to watch it even if I did know. I went into it not really expecting much, but the first act really grabbed me. I loved the aesthetic of the city, the vague cyberpunk-iness of it, the vengeance plotline. It was pretty different than what I was expecting.

And then it just went to crap by turning into a Saturday morning justice friends cartoon complete with cheesy one liners from gimmicky characters. The minute the costumes went on I lost any feeling of suspense or expectation this could be interesting, and that expectation was validated by the rest of the movie.

Only one scene in the first season addresses it.

BH6 series is like Dr.Pepper. You don't like nor care for it at first but over time you start to get a taste for it.

It's a shame they don't play up his minor magnetism powers more

Its come up a few times, but he could be deflecting shit, wall crawling, hitching a ride on robots that aren't Baymax, etc

why DIDNT disney just do an adaptation og bh6 that wasnt so divergent from the comics?

Because the Big Hero 6 comics are terrible.

I don't disagree but who looks at them and says "yeah we need to adapt that." I know they wanted to do a kid and his robot story but I don't think we needed a whole lot of inspirational cues.

According to user
>Karmi improves her relations with Hiro, somewhat. That relationship is probably one of the highlights of the first half of S2 if ignoring the bad guy of the week episodes. >Also a bit of extra new stuff involving Fred's family. RIP STAN
>Globby gets an episode and a hug from Honey Lemon
>I'm not part of the animation dept. but my dept.'s close to them. Not telling which though.
>Yep, but we're not technically Disney exclusive. We just do extra work for them while keeping the higher ups happy and rich while we work in sweatshop conditions. Exaggerating on this but you can imagine what it's like.

I'm willing to bet that a large part of it is that not many people find the character designs/scenarios that attractive.
Compare it to the Tangled series - sure it's also good, but having a cute/sexy character designs provides a basic layer of material that other discussion can be built on.

It was "We want the Marvel audience" kind of movie. Except no one knows the property.

The movie could interpreted as Pocahontas of our times, a sure bet that was overshadowed by a lesser movie - Frozen.

>Frozen

>Seen as a lesser movie
Not by disney execs, that's for sure. Disney princess are pretty much their bread and butter, so to them Big hero 6 was much farther away from their confort zone.

>>Also a bit of extra new stuff involving Fred's family.
They're going to kill off Fred's Stan dad?

I'm a Fredfan, but I think Wasabi and Gogo still need more focus on their characters.

>They're going to kill off Fred's Stan dad?
oh my fucking god I didn't even think about that.

I wonder if someone got fired over this

Not 100% on board with this. I mean it looks good but it's not like there weren't any good imitators on the Internet.
And I'm not even talking about the Gravity Falls debacle.

Ah geez.

That is way too serious of a scene for a disney cartoon.

Except it was production mess, rewritten at the very last second to be a generic girls movie full of graphic errors.

It paid off as we can see.

Someday he'll get his due.

Got vacuumed up with the other Marvel properties and they didn't think it would mesh with the MCU despite winning diversity points for being a newer literal who cast of characters, so they pinched out a mediocre movie to cement the rights in case they wanna get back into weeb shit.

Just wanted to say thanks again dude, I really appreciate it!

Eh so long as the guy appears with new images from the show, it's better than without. Also, he or she's been providing since S1 so take it with a grain of sugar.

Hey man, that's not funny, that's how Harry Houdini died

That image’s new to me.

That line sounds familiar, where's it from?

It's from leaker's thread

Amazing how formidable she is when her thing is just "power swords."

Just like my Batman mangas.

She´s literally the only one who actually is a professional, so it isn´t that surprising. Globby is who they made way too overpowered.

God I love that blue and black color scheme and wild hair
