But there can be some reasonable explanation to Hook Foot’s absence in “Rapunzel Day One” like he’s busy in digging the resources outside. Also I didn’t see Cass whining about her injury and Raps’ guilty feeling of hurting Cass in “Brothers Hook” so that’s why I think the US channel’s arrangement is inconsistent.

Eugene has a line in Day One mentioning "too bad we don't have Hook Foot to help us put back the caravan together."

Also the fact the found the caravan in Day One. Where as in Hook Brothers, the rode in Hook Hand's wagon because they didn't have the Caravan with them.

It's a giant ass cursed tree in a jungle in the middle of some desert mountain range. It's probably obscure and remote enough people don't go there, and no merchant caravan would go through it. The location of Hookhand’s wagon should be off the path of the rocks. And it took the group days of walks so they are whining about getting tired.

Cass doesnt really do anything in the hook episode. Its not unrealistic that she is brooding off on her own. Real life people dont address conflicts immediately either

I'm indifferent, it's not implausible. I believe Eugene says that the events of season 2 episode 1 to "Rapunzel and the Great Tree" occured over six months. Assuming the rest of the season has a similar time scale, he should be 15 by season three's start and 16 by it's end.

I guess Eugene will have bigger role in the later part of this season. Don't forget the foreshadowing line that the psychic monkey stared at Eugene twice and the monkey would be revealed something big according to synopsis of the later episode.
Also season 3 will be the road to marriage of both Raps and Eugene and I think it should cover more love stories of them.

I could see Uncle Hector and Aunt Adira forcing Varian to learn proper fighting skills and bulk up, maybe do the generic wilderness training of suddenly dumping him in the middle of nowhere with a knife and some water.

The town where Hook Hand’s tour wagon located should be off the path to the Dark Kingdom and unreachable by caravan from the group’s location. You can see the rest of the group are whining when Raps decided to reunite Hook Hand by days of walk.

Next season is last season

The group took 6 months to reach the great tree but it doesn’t mean it is actually a 6-month distance by caravan. Considering the group had couple of detours or stops like fixing the Vadaros problems, visiting the spire to obtain scroll, private dates of Raps and Eugene, wandering the tropical island for 6 weeks.

Also according to Adira, Hector is not the only one in the brotherhood keeping the secret of Dark Kingdom from the outside world, but the group encountered him who is the most dangerous and determined unfortunately.

Sad but at least it's not a slow death. Burn brightly and be remembered fondly forever.

I saw lots of shows got renewed endlessly when it got popular but just extending the unnecessary plots and then forced to end by fading out the ideas. At least Tangled has been planned early to make 3-season tv show prior to the release no matter how it comes out and I hope it can be finished with a high note.

This actually pissed me off so much in GoT. When Petyr Baelish zips back and forth between Winterfell and King's Landing just so that they could set up a scene where Sansa gets raped in front of Theon was the most annoying thing in the world. Any sort of perspective or geography was sacrificed so people could jerk off.

In a weird way, children's shows benefit from the ethical restrictions placed upon them. It's a form of art through adversity. They can't just throw some tits on the screen, be vulgar, or have a super edgy fight scene to compensate for a lack of humor, character, or story. If they want dirty jokes, they have to be clever and subtle. If they want high stakes they need to create it through circumstances rather than just gore.

This isn't to say that I inherently hate gore and the macabre (one of my favourite films is Salo, actually), but that if it isn't done with purpose it comes off as more childish to me than a literal children's story that is executed with skill, flair and panache.

I'd say that I'd classify fiction as an art so what I've said earlier can be relevant, so as an art, fiction appeals to different aspects of our psyche. Even if a given story doesn't appeal to us, it should still serve the purpose to stimulate the corresponding part of it. By observing another's emotion through an artistic channel, it makes a personal connection to the raw emotion, allowing us to grow emotionally through empathy more easily than in person. In a story, this translates to more complex themes and ideas, as emotions are intrinsically coupled with a narrative. Tangled has common themes of fate and maturity.

Oh yes! That's where I learned about it in the first place. I'm really curious as to what they do with the flower. The movie left it ambiguous enough for people to think the power's gone or hidden deeper inside Rapunzel. So far in the series she doesn't seem to have its power again (or at least her hair doesn't), but then there's Varian's foreshadowing and the wilted flower implying that there might actually be something left. I personally hope she gets both powers for the finale or something cool like that

But only Rapunzel has reaction with the black rocks so it is obvious that she still has the properties of sun drop inside though the original healing power is gone. The encounter of black rocks may activate the sun drop's other hidden power like forming a protective shield and controlling the rocks to defeat enemy but also awakened its dark side from the moonstone power.

Oh yeah, I kinda forgot about season 1. It was all so long ago. Maybe I should rewatch some episodes, I feel like there were some recurring characters in the recent ones I didn't recognize, like that guy marrying the seals.

I think bringing Eugene back to life may have drained the sundrop's battery, and touching the Black Spire may have given back some energy.
