nice. I hope he keeps the skeleton pirate look.

JUST LIKE CAP!

>marvel ruining another awesome villain
taskie is too good to use in black widow
where is he even gonna get a chance to copy some cap or spidey moves?

video

Give us the Winter Soldier type action and the movie would be solid

Sweet, powerful but not ungodly so. Wonder what the plots gonna be. Hopefully not too convoluted or Noirish

In terms of straight up fighting Widow is leagues better then both of them.

Fox tried to use him in Deadpool 1 but realised Marvel had the rights, this rights shit has always confused me with some characters

You're lucky he's getting to be in a movie at all. Originally they wanted him to be in AoS or one of the Netflix shows.

Its usually based off who the characters first appeared with. Fisk is best known as a spidey Villain but started off as a Daredevil villain so in terms of rights he's a daredevil character

I still can’t buy Scarlet as a badass character. There’s a smirk she uses as a shorthand that I simply cannot tolerate.

>Prequel
They are gonna kill him isn't it ?

This sounds like you just came up with on the spot, just like the studios

To be fair, Marvel and Sony get shit confused too going off the email leaks. Or Coogler wanting to use Kraven until being told he couldn't.

So Sony had to ask Disney to use him in Spider-Verse? interesting, guess they have built that relationship with Spidey

He'll wear a stupid paintball mask with a skull painted on it and you fucking know it

I'm dreading this. Tasky should be an absolute smartass who runs away when the tides aren't in his favor. This will probably make him some sexist personalityless asshole.

Or worse, genderbend him

Boy I sure hope they don't turn him into a chaotic evil bastard and kill him off. He needs the Zemo ending ala Civil War.

if taskie ever shows his face. imma riot

Why should a prequel be any different from a movie set in modern day? Most villains have died.

I hope he's in, but he's like 16 or some shit. He's a crazy threat, but is captured in the end, and he shows up in a current day film as an adult.

Despite having his bowl, Mysterio shows his face, so I think he would for some moments

I won't be around anymore to see it so I don't care

This is easy. Tasky is a Red Room exchange professor from HYDRA-SHIELD.

Gets beat at the end, realizes he can’t go home again and begins his new life as a traveling merc who forgets this ever happened.

Turn it into a running joke in later films that BW is cautious of any masked normal dude because it could be him.

>We’ve been hearing conflicting reports from Marvel Studios as to what the film will actually be about, with rumors that it would be set around the turn of the Millennium wide of the mark. With the pic looking to shoot in June though, we should know more very soon. But as of right now, we can at least confirm, thanks to our trusted source, that the main villain will be the Taskmaster (based on the Ultimate version), and that Marvel Studios want Moonlight star André Holland for the part.

>black widow movie
Did anyone really want this except joss whedon?

Attached: images.jpg (225x225, 8K)

>>Taskmaster fights Widow
>>"Nobody can beat me in a fight!"
>>Widow kicks him in the balls.
>>He falls over
>>Widow "Figures"
>>Audience "YAAAASSS QUEEEEEEEN!!!!!!"
.3 billion box office

>Taskmaster (based on the Ultimate version),
FUCK OFF

>wegotthiscovered.com
So it's not Taskmaster then.

I do

>Taskmaster (based on the Ultimate version),
Base it off the Avengers: Initiative version, like HOLY FUCK!

>"Taskmastesr steals the show from one of the two most boring MCU characters"

That site is adding shit, we just know it's going to be him, dunno why they pulled out which version they think they're using out their ass

Just like how Talos did.

No offence but dirty tactics or improve has been a pretty regular way to beat him

>Fisk is best known as a spidey Villain but started off as a Daredevil villain so in terms of rights he's a daredevil character
It's
It's actually the other way around. Kingpin first appeared as a Spider-Man villain but he is more well-known as Daredevil's archnemesis, so the rights went with FOX. That's why he appeared in FOX's and Netflix's Daredevil but not Spectacular Spider-Man.

Because the Ultimate version tends to always be what filmmakers go for

I can just see Taskmaster being Yon-Rogg tier cause they'll milk the female protagonist thing.

They're just inferring shit because the main villain of the movie is supposed to be black (Marvel is specifically casting Africans or black Brits) and Ultimate Taskmaster is black.

WTC is not very reliable. I doubt it's Taskmaster at all. I mean, look at the top choice for the role. Doesn't strike me as if he'd play a very physical villain.

Attached: Taskmaster.jpg (1200x675, 55K)

Other sites are reporting Taskmaster too, but none of this inferred stuff, that guy might have a different role

SECRET MOVE

I CAN SEE THROUGH THAT

SWORD OF BLACK KNIGHT

Fuck ultimate Taskmaster. Give us Skeletor. You did it with red skull. Just do it again cowards

This might be the smartest thing the MCU has done bringing Tasky in

Hahahaha no she's not.

Calling it, he's just some martial arts dude wearing a black suit like Widow's and there's no Skull mask.

Also he's going to die in her movie and we'll never see him again.

>based on the Ultimate version
I can just hear the MCUshills praising it and saying it's the best version of Taskmaster and the 616 comic one is bad.

Are you saying that WON'T be the case?

Oh fuck, I might actually see this now. I've been waiting for Tasky to show up in the MCU forever.

SPIDEY-SWING

He deserves better

Attached: 1537068907314.png (1283x722, 1.04M)

Hes the poor man's Death's Head.

Besides, Taskmaster only works in a Black Widow movie.

He won't fit at all into Doctor Strange, Eternals, GotG3, or Shiang Chi.

Friendly reminder that wegotthiscovered think Agatha Harkness is a villain.

I could definitely see him working in Shang Chi

Attached: asuka this.jpg (1080x1080, 108K)

> Tasky
Interesting choice, though I've always kinda hoped they might use Chameleon for this, since they could have a shared past as russian spies.

>Ultimate Taskmaster
So, a seven foot tall black man who can copy both skills AND superpowers.

>character who can copy and repeat every single skill and martial art and who also has enhanced reflexes and speed doesn't work in an kung fu movie...

What, and you think there's not going to be any MCU movies after that slate, so Tasky has to be shoved into one of them?

If they go with Ultimate Taskmaster it won't, but Tasky is pretty based in the comics when well written not to mention they can fuck it up. Just see Malekith.

Doesn't Widow have her own villains? Yelena? That creepy pedo russian guy that was into her when she was a little girl?Drunk Bear? Or borrow freaking Crimson Dynamo?

who's black widow?

can't wait to see how they will ruin his costume

With the power creep and cosmic direction street level characters like Black Widow, Hawkeye and Taskmaster are becoming increasingly irrelevant.

That sounds more like what Fox would have done.

In the MCU she is

MCU =\= comics

In the MCU no-names like Black Widow, Shuri, and Captain Marvel are the best and strongest female heroes

Attached: tumblr_olfy03qiwO1vgzxjno4_1280.png (1280x721, 728K)

I just fucking hope he survives the movie so they can use him for the inevitable Masters of Evil movie with Zemo and Ghost.

I need this or a Dark Avenger film

James Gunn said he wanted to make a Moon Knight movie when he was done with Guardians. Don't count out the little heroes just yet.

Bad guys always die

>Black Widow
>Neither black nor widow
Comic books, how do they work?

She is a widow, actually.

Possibly not in the MCU, but her (original) backstory is about her joining the KGB to avenge her dead husband. It's ironic because you expect the codename to be some standard-fare honeypot femme fatale BS, but it's rooted in actual trauma

Not before they make him grim and edgy first

>Taskmaster vs Shang-Chi
Has this ever happened?

Using taskmaster is a good cost saver because you can just rig his model to any previous avengers CGI and so be a perfect way to imitate moves.

It's a marvel movie so there's gonna be like three villains anyway. Probably the real villein will be some boring guy in a suit.

Not even. It's going to be a "taskmaster before he actually becomes taskmaster" villain with a hint of a skull in the post credit scene. And you're going to like it.

Not skull cause China. But he can have variation of udon costume.

Woah!
I can't believe it!
THere's a black widow movie in the works?

>Shiang Chi.
You literally found the perfect place to bring him back in.

China was fine with Red Skull in two movies

I'd rather get a BW movie than a CM movie.

I was sure I read the main villain had been cast as some woman. Are we getting genderbent Taskmaster?

nah

Attached: red-skull-infinity-war-e1525087164333.jpg (2737x1368, 422K)

I was hoping he would show up in Ant-Man

Attached: 6674888-4431522589-ant-m.jpg (1988x3056, 789K)

Beat me to it, fucker. Playing him after forgetting all the proper timing for counters is a miserable experience.

No, he's in Spidey's rights. Anytime Daredevil used Kingpin they had to ask Sonys permission

Deadpool MAX already did that.
Wade's adopted mercenary mommy who taught him everything he knows about killing so he could one day grow up and fuck her senseless.

Attached: IMG_9859.jpg (503x532, 114K)

What if Widow beats him with sexual gratification?

Taskmaster being the villain would mean we'd get to see her get the Black Widow Takedown™ used against her for once at least

Attached: fnt1r51r3ro4_400.gif (268x217, 1.13M)

He won't have his powers
He won't have his costume
He'll just be the Russian boss's heavy goon.

With a skull face tattoo and a hoodie.

Actually, based on the cast list, I think the character they're talking about here is supposed to be the primary villain of the piece. With Yelena Belova (?????) potentially being secondary, and some other actors being the tertiary villains.

But it still feels like We Got It Covered could be pulling this out of their ass

>villains in female-led capeshit
They're gonna ruin him, no doubt.

>Marvel Studios reportedly wants Moonlight star André Holland to take on the role.

I'm out.
I am so fucking out.

Attached: 535463_v9_bb.jpg (1080x1440, 330K)

Sucks to be you, Cletus!

He's a great actor (since The Knick) and he'll be wearing a mask. What's the problem?
Oh right, the racism. I forgot.

>Get Taskmaster
>Keep none of the things that make people like him

I hope Disney doest fuck that up. KEEP THE PIRATE LOOK

Not who you are responding to but imagine the outrage if it was a black hero being played by a white actor.

Attached: 1549582183028.jpg (473x467, 137K)

Not really in the fucking mood for getting outraged over hypotheticals.

Lolol thought so.

Attached: ay.jpg (313x306, 16K)

Please don't butcher Tasky.

I thought taskmaster was an Asian.

Holy shit.

>Shang-Chi attends world martial arts tournament
>has to defeat a number of opponents while solving crimes behind the scenes.
>Shang-Chi breaks down every opponents fighting style as the fight goes on.
>The last fight is taskmaster, who has watched the whole tournament and memorised every move previously used.

no fucking way.

He’s literally going to have a skeletal face (or a mask). It’s not like you’d even notice what race he is if you weren’t a celebrity culture faggot.

not that user, but the MCU has a history with villains either not wearing masks or their masks being removed fairly quickly because actors like their faces being shown. In the Far from Home trailer Mysterio seems to only use his fishbowl in combat, and Zemo didn't have a mask at all.

That said, I don't give a fuck what race he is if he can do the role good. I like Tasky, but not enough to throw a fit over him being a different race than what he is in the comics. However, I'll definitely be pissed if he gets the Zemo treatment. Tasky needs to have a skeletal face.

Fuck you user that's precisely what's going to happen.

I wouldn't give a shit, tard

Yeah, right. You're lucky if they keep the skull motif. Remember Crossbones?

Zemo originally was going to but they scrapped it, but since he's alive still, they're going to bring it back when he teams with Ghost and the others. Mysterio will probably get to be in the bowl a lot since all the leaked figures are of him with the bowl on

Attached: zemo civil war concept art.jpg (500x688, 43K)

I remember him looking better than the lame gimp mask wearing dude in the comics

Attached: 2134213422497jpg.jpg (1300x650, 114K)

>leaked figures

Well I mean, of course the figures will have him with the bowl on. That doesn't prove much I think. Kids and fans want Mysterio, not Jake Gyllenhaal.

It's a fact actors prefer to avoid masks in movies so their face is visible for all to see so producers and shit can see their acting ability and facial expressions and shit.

Attached: apijnzzij__77367.1461299753.jpg (558x500, 92K)

The skeleton pirate look will be in a masquerade ball or something. It's going to be the UDON costume for some of the movie and the actor's important actor face for 70% of the movie.

If this means he won't fucking die at the end of the movie like EVERY OTHER GOOD MCU VILLAIN, I'm fine with it

I mean, it's not the actors who're trying to show their pretty faces off, it's the directors who make that decision. You can't sell the emotions of a scene if you're covering up all the acting that's going on.

The fact that animated productions have way fewer maskless scenes is related; they can get away with making the mask move to approximate facial expressions or with exaggerating body language in ways that you can't do in live action.

I could get into that. Need the skull though

does she even have her own main villain?
or did they just pick taskmaster at random?

>Or worse, genderbend him

Sounds good to me.

Attached: 3245-.png (696x395, 409K)

It's been around for a while that Yelena will be in the movie but Tasky is there to make it less obviously Marvel Dark Mirror Villain #18

Still not really confirmed that it's Yelena outside of posts I've seen on here and speculation on news sites. The casting info still makes the other femspy out to be the "secondary lead."

The thing is that if they adapt Yelena's story properly, it's a big enough subversion of the dark mirror formula to be really interesting and good. I'm just not sure if they'll get the details right, though.

He’d probably look like this

Attached: 57343B9F-8979-45E1-AA29-193E2E7E47B3.png (875x649, 720K)

>enter the dragon marvel movie
>it just becomes mortal kombat due to costumes and special moves
FUARK I WANT THIS

This Taskmaster in the PS4 game was such a pussy, and money hungry too

Zemo
Vulture
Yon Rogg
Mordo
Dormammu
Collector
Grandmaster

>Taskmaster
>not money hungry
Do you even know the character?

Red Skull
Thanos
Loki
Ghost

After they gave Hela her giant helmet and Mysterio his fishbowl head, there's no reason to think they won't give Taskmaster his skeleton head

>or Shiang Chi.
Why wouldn't he work in Shang Chi? That's a perfect place for him to work

Stop thinking of the MCU in terms of power levels. This isn't a shounen anime

Ultimate Taskmaster is a black guy though

>with villains either not wearing masks or their masks being removed fairly quickly because actors like their faces being shown
Iron Monger-Had his mask on
Whiplash-Lost the mask
Loki-Had his helmet on both in Thor and Avengers
Red Skull-Had his mask, er face, on
Killian-Doesn't have a mask I think
Thor 2-Malekith has no mask
Winter Soldier-Has his mask but loses it though WS is more known not having a mask
GOTG-Ronan kept his outfit the whole movie
AoU-Ultron has no mask
Ant-Man-Yellowjacket keeps his mask once he suits up
CW-No mask
DS-Kaecillus has no mask
GOTG2-We see Ego's planet form like once so give it a half point
SM:H-Vulture only loses his mask at the end
Thor 3-Hela has her helmet in most of the movie, at least in every action scene
BP-Is mostly maskless until he suits up
AaTW-Ghost doesn't have her mask a lot
CM-????
IW-Closest thing to a mask is Thanos' armor which he does lose but will have for Endgame

I'd say that's more mask on than otherwise

>CM-????
None of them wear masks and Ronan has his costume. The Skrull stay fully in alien getup even after being revealed as imposters.

what this? a redraw?

Will there be a scene where he uses a cell phone?

we'd be lucky to get something that looks this good, even

Genderbent Ghost was fine. I just wish they didn’t change her insane conspiracy theorist personality.

I've barely read any Ultimate Marvel, what's he like?

>In other Black Widow news, it has been rumored that Emma Watson may be joining the cast as the second lead.

>It's unclear if the character will be someone well-known from the comics or if her character will be created for the movie. Since casting is underway, we should find out soon.

Attached: 0100.gif (460x259, 1.93M)

He’ll wear it in one scene and then never wear it again. The MCU hates having their heros and villains wear masks.

Culture is still alive.

Mildly interested now

>being this naive
Ofcourse actors fight to have their faces shown more than necessary. See Tom Cruise and Will Smith, probably even Jake Gyllenhaal in the new Spider-Man. Mysterio really should always have the fish bowl, but we'll barely see it.

Fuck you. Delet this.

Cause he was more like "Buffy" angry vampire or mediocre demon from "Charmed" than like skullfaced.

How did they make Toomes more intimidating in a high school movie for literal children than he's ever been in decades of stories?

I hope Taskmaster wins.

Attached: taskmaster.png (2300x1972, 908K)

Maybe they just didn't showcase it. She was really focused on not dying in the movie. Nothing about her says she isn't be a conspiracy theorist nutjob in her offtime.
Maybe that's how they get her on the Thunderbolts despite her not really being much of a bad guy.

YOU CAN'T RUN AWAY
YOU'RE IN FOR A WORLD OF HURT

Great way to inject personality into the film. As alright as BW is, Im worried her as a lead isn't exactly gonna set the screen on fire with likability and charm.

Abomination too

I don't know why but I was hoping for Winter Solider to be the villain

>worse
>genderbend
Although they would have to get someone like Emily Blunt to play the character then

Attached: 1549998556034.jpg (1080x720, 173K)

Thanks for making me want something that will never happen
