Do radio waves really count as radiation in the traditional sense? I mean I know they are, but it just feels so mundane. Especially when it’s basically used the same way normal people use visible light. Even if he’s producing them, it’s still just fucking radio waves.

or lightning is associated with lights, light in it's purest form is white, white being a contrast for black thus is more visually appealing. user, a lot of things count as radiation, but whether they are particle or electromagnetic, and if EM, it's frequency, dramatically changes it's properties. Also, the main problem regarding radiation of any kind is making sure you aren't exposed to too much of it at once. And inb4 anyone tries to avoid radiation entirely, don't bother, it is present in small amounts everywhere in all varieties, and in the case of UV, is required in order to live.

and it happens to almost everyone with powers regardless if they are white or black.
Cage, Photon and Blue marvel for example all got their powers by radiation and they are black.
