No, they only had 1 or 2 actual scams. Those aside most of their ventures were legitimate services. Eddy probably only called them scams because his brother ran actual ones.

If you think about, these guys were the app world waiting to happen. Redesigning services that already existed, but with no regulations or safety standards and it costs practically nothing to use.

When Double D got older and knew how to write a program, he could have easily been behind AirBnB, or Uber, or Youtube. I feel like there were a few episodes where the Eds nearly ran a successful business it all imploded and nearly killed the other kids.

Ed and Edd were only bad because of Eddy, Eddy was only bad because of his big brother. Eddy's brother was the real bad guy. It's funny how much influence someone can have when they're not around.

A lot of the times their "scams" seemed like legitimate business ploys. Whereby they provided legitimate services for a profit, honestly I often felt like the other kids seemed like assholes for not cutting them some slack.

Most of then were half baked and half assed. If they put the work into what they did instead of a smoke and mirrors type of deal it would have worked better. And a majority of the time half the shit they used for the scam required more work than what 25 cents was worth.

When you think about it there were only three main factors that led to the Ed's scams failing as often as they did:
>Eddy being too impatient and cheap to give a toss about actual quality assurance
>Ed's impulsiveness
>The fact that the Eds didn't just ask the other kids what they wanted to see - the one time they did(Jimmy's giant ice-pop scam), Eddy's giant ego couldn't handle the thought of sharing credit for an idea and the Eds ended up losing out
Get rid of all that and they'd have probably had at least a 70% success rate.

To be fair Jimmy's thing wasnt even a scam. That was a legitimate service. There was no scam involved they got the ice pop and it was everything that was advertised.

And a fair amount of Eddy's "scams" weren't really scams either.

Half of them were poorly made or had corners cut for the sake of not putting effort in. That's why they were scams. He tried offering a service but always cut corners to the point where the final result was shitty and not worth the money spent.

With the other kids, it felt more like they only hung out with each other partly because of their mutual dislike for the Eds, and partly because they had literally no one else
