I've been asked sometimes why is it I dedicate a corner of my shelf to Loki from Marvel, and I decided that it's time to share those stories that made me interested in Loki in the first place, so sit back and enjoy a long and slow storytime.

I love that JMS brought back the enchanted card.
I respectfully disagree, I love Simonson Thor but the Loki in that is 99% evil villain sitting on a throne and bemoaning the world. He is the first one that showed Loki could be a hero if pressed to the end, but Loki is better under many writers. And Robert Rodi's Thor is the pinnacle of both Thor and Loki.

Of course it will take a while, but Im not just storytiming everything in one seating.

Reading JMS's Thor and Odin compared to Aaron's Thor and Odin is so jarring. JMS's feels like progression for the characters and Aaron's feels like regression.

Fraction did him a great disservice. He understood that he was essentially a relic of the past in his conception but he stopped there and just found a way to perma-shelve him.

Thanks for doing this Lokianon. JMS Thor was the first series I bought issue by issue. First thing I did when I got my driver's license was go to my LCS and buy an issue or two.

The car and the LCS are both gone now, but I do have the omnibus.
